Hi creative friends,
Well, 2020 has been quite a year!!
It’s definitely one we will remember for a long time….. maybe you were documenting it in your vintage postcard tag book?
Today I have for you, the very last instalment of our ‘A Year of Vintage Postcards’.
If you are new to this year long project, every month throughout 2020, I shared two new printable vintage postcards to create a collection of 24 beautiful postcards and matching journal cards.
Personally, I used the vintage postcards to make a journal with a difference…. it’s a flip book filled with these gorgeous vintage postcards.
The back of the postcards have a blank space that can be used to document events, information or simply to diarize your journey each month.
The December Vintage Postcards
For December I featured two Christmas themed cards.
The first is a Bavarian card with illuminated letters from 1911 and the second is called ‘Christmas Angels’, painted by E. H. Clapsaddle in 1902. The back side of the postcards feature the Christmas Angels on a stamp.
I’ve also included a ‘2020’ tag that you can attach to your flip tag journal, now that it is completed.
I’d love to see how you have used your year of vintage tags, so please feel free to share in our Facebook group, Simply Shabbilicious.

How to construct the postcards:
1. Print the December PDF – 2 pages (see below).
2. Cut the postcards out as one complete card (front and back) and score down the centre where the front and back of the postcards meet.
3. Fold in half along the score line and use glue to adhere the front and back sides of the postcard together.
As this is the last instalment of vintage postcards in this project, I’m including a link back to each month’s free downloads.

Oh my goodness! I didn’t know there could be so much goodness in one place. I love the pretty images you used and the way you gave little details on the artists. The colours and graphics all work together so well and will be fun to play with.
Thank you so much for sharing and now I am really looking forward to 2021, not just longing for a better year ahead, but to follow what you are sharing and creating!

I just adore these old fashioned postcards and saved them all, but being me, I’m as slow as molasses in December so of course I haven’t printed them yet. But I do intend to! Thanks so very much.

Have enjoyed collecting your beautiful postcards and am looking forward to actually making something from them. This year has been a total disaster for many reasons at my house so I would like to find the positives from this year and use the cards to document them. They are just too pretty for negative thoughts. Thank you so much for sharing them, can’t wait to see what you do for next year!

Thank you so much, Kerryanne, for sharing your wonderful talents with us. It has meant a lot to many besides myself, especially during this pandemic. I have managed to keep my sanity(barely!) by playing for hours with your beautiful kits. Bless you, my dear!
