Hi there shabbilicious friends,
Almost three years ago I released my first Blossom Bunny pattern.
I had long admired the gorgeous Danish designs from Maileg and in particular, their rabbits. Unfortunately, they were hard to get in Australia, so I resorted to making a similar version of my own. While they are not exactly the same, they do still ooze that lovely simple Scandi style that I love.
The large Blossom Bunnies have been quite popular and I’m always excited to see others using my free pattern to make their own.
The first Blossom Bunny came with extra patterns for a dress and shoes.
Now a few years down the track, I’m answering a request for different sized bunnies….. so I’ve added the medium and small sized bunnies and a new simpler dress pattern.
I’m absolutely smitten with this pretty mother and baby bunny set made using the large and small Blossom Bunny patterns.
Aren’t they sweet ♥

Hi Deborah
I teach small groups of ladies how to make pretty things. Am I able to use your rabbit pattern to teach them. I will not be making them to sell. I adore this pattern.
Look forward to your reply

Thank you sooo much for these sweet patterns. As you can probably see from my name, I´m Danish too, and actually live only 10km from where Maileg were first started up many years ago, and one of my girlfriends actually worked there with packing stuff, so I was soo lucky to get to secondhand rabbits back then, their staff were allowed to buy,, when they wouldn´t sell them in stores. It got the name Maileg, because it sounded international, but the first “Mai” is actually the g first name of the girl, who first got the idea for it, and the last: “leg” is the Danish word for play, so now you have a little more info about the background of it too.
If you ever get to the point, that you can´t live without a real one, then write me a mail, but I warn you, they are pretty heavy priced here too, just so you know, and I´ll be happy to find out exactly, if you want me to?
Have a wonderful day and lots of great fun.
thank you Kerry for yet another delightful pattern. I have just got a new sewing machine and this pattern is definitely going to be on my list of “makes”. thanks again. x 🙂

I have just found these online. Don’t know where I have been hiding to not see these bunnies. They are truly delightful and will be perfect for a couple of precious little ones in my family.
