My holiday almost feels like a distant memory now that I am back home and working hard. What a week it has been!!
First there were the computer issues – don’t we all hate those!
Our business computer is 5 years old, which in computer years is probably getting old. She’s a big, sturdy gal who chugs along at a slow old pace, nether-the-less, she has always been reliable. Then on Easter Monday her buddy, Penny the printer threw up her ink cartridges in disgust and said ENOUGH. No more pattern packet printing or year 10 science research projects, I’m out of here. And with that she died.
Faced with the prospect of having to get a new printer, we decided that perhaps we should do the inevitable and replace the whole system with one that was bigger and could cope with our combined family and business requirements.
So after a day comparing prices and sussing out all things computerised, we brought home our new SUPER MODEL – ELLE, and what a beauty she is. I’m totally in love with her – from her compact little tower to her large wide screen monitor. I love all her sleek, glossy blackness and lightening speed – our Elle’s super fast I tell you. The new Penny printer mark 2 is not bad either; she spews out copies, scans and printing at a remarkable rate. How did we ever cope without them?
We moved the old girl into Miss Aimee’s room where she will live out her days being used for computer games and net surfing. It’s taken me all week, but now all 3 computers are networked and file sharing – hooray!!
In between, uploading software packages and sorting out complex technicalities of the computer type, I was also juggling studio work. I had an order to supply paintings for a local florist/gallery here in Port and it was due to be delivered by weeks end.
Here’s 2 of them:

Anyhoo, lots of exciting things happening now that I am dedicating all my time this week to the web business. The first of which is today’s offering…
Of course there have been many, many requests over the years to share the recipe and finally, that time has come. The recipe is now available on my
website for E-pattern download. It contains very detailed step-by-step instructions for making the basic cakes plus four variations on decorating them.
There will be lots more to come this week so make sure you check back.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne

Hey Kerryanne,
My poor old computer sounds like it is about the same age as the one you have just retired….I would love to upgrade but the $$$$ are not as free as one would like so I keep going with what I have. I am loving that new big widescreen though & the thought of having one very little compact tower sounds fabulous.
Your new paintings are gorgeous too. I can’t wait to see the fall out of all the new cupcakes that will now turn up on ebay because you are releasing your recipe! (Wink!)
Hope your head cold clears up quickly, I am smiling to myself about the whole tissue thing…I’ve done it too!
