My classes are also resuming this week with an extra class and 8 new students starting. It can be a bit daunting joining a new class, so I try to make it more comfortable for everyone with name tags – but not those ugly stick on labels that everyone hates. These little Matryoshka or Babushka dolls that I’ve made are actually place card holders. There’s one at every seat so everyone know where to sit and they also get to know the names of the other students sitting around them.
For anyone who has visited my website in the past week you will have noticed there are lots of changes taking place. Early in the week I pulled most of the pattern pages down in readiness for uploading all the new goodies. I got as far as putting the ‘secret’ faux cupcake recipe up and had a tremendous response to that…… then things went a bit pear shaped.
An unexpected family situation has meant that I have had other priorities since Thursday. I plan to be back working on the website later this week and hope to get all the new patterns up on the site as quickly as possible. I apologise for the delay. Please be patient – hopefully I will have lots of new things to share with you very soon.

Hey Kerryanne! Had a giggle at you being a “roo-teen” gal, cos I’m more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type gal! :0) How wonderful that your classes are proving to be so popular that you’ve had to add a new one – well done!! Obviously there are a lot of people with taste and class in Port Macquarie! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS

Hi Kerryanne, yes I must admit I do love having the house to myself to tidy (and have it stay that way for at least 3 hours)and then have some creative time when I can actually think straight without that soundtrack to my life….children fighting with each other…aarrghh…yes 3 weeks would be a very long time.
Glad you are back in the swing and have some new classes…lucky Port Mac to have you!

I never realized that having a baby would cause so much upheaval and new routines! I crave my old routine some days and the order it gave me but then I realize my daugther is giving me ways to redefine my life and to let go a bit. Though she of course thrives on her own routine! Love the dolls!

Isn’t it funny Kerryanne, we sometimes get fed up with routine, but when it’s taken away from us we’re all at sea. The older I get the more I appreciate my routine.
I love your name tags, they’d also be gorgeous as table name places (or whatever the proper term is)
Clever girl!
