There’s nothing like a field of wildflowers to lift your mood…. and with that in mind I set off to design a fresh, happy and uplifting kit for May in the Handmade Club.
With a beautiful shabby colour palette of buttery yellows, popping pinks and soft aquas, the shabby cottage garden kit will be perfect for your shabby, cottage and vintage style projects. It will also mix in well with the elements from previous pastel kits.
This club kit is a little different to what has been available in the past….
It still has a theme and a colour palette, but it is made up of lots of essentials, so you can put together a gathered collection that you can use on many, many future projects.
What’s in the Shabby Cottage Garden Kit
One of the big items this month is lots of printable pages of fussy cuttings: oodles of beautiful flowers, birds, bees, butterflies and bunnies.
There are frames, book plates, tags, labels, cards and buttons etc.
As always, there are many beautiful original embellishments made using a combination of digitally enhanced vintage items.
There is also a paper pack that has 15 coordinating papers that have been sized to both A4 and letter size (USA). These can then be resized by you for use in TN, A5 and 5″ x 7″ journals.
But that’s not all……
The club members have told me that they enjoy printable projects with instructions, so this month I’ve added in a cute little accordion storage file that you can keep your fussy cuttings in. This project is actually much easier and quicker to make than you would expect and comes to you as a printable PFDF and tutorial!
There’s also a super sweet shabby cottage garden flip tag in the kit.
Each tag is 3 dimensional and all of the tags are provided in a printable PDF along with a tutorial.
Also included in this kit is a bonus printable to make this shabby cottage garden card – see the tutorial HERE.
It’s a whopping kit containing lots of options for creative projects for spring gorgeousness this month.

Hello Kerryanne, I was just looking at the gorgeous spring kit and I love it. Since you sent me those pretty graphics from that other kit a few months ago, I’ve been having fun collecting things to put into my journals that I wrote after my husband died 6 years ago. I’m also going to make a banner or two for fun. Now what I was wondering is could you show us what you made from these beautiful graphics. I’m also going to make a collage with some lovely sewing things. Thanks for the lovely things. I hope you and your family are well and staying safe. I’m a bit lonely in this isolation, but I have to be very careful, as you know. I’d love to hear from you. Judy.

Hi Judy,
I know isolation must be very lonely for those who live on their own… it’s not ideal for sure, but we all need to stay home and stay safe. Hope you are able to get visits from your family now that some of our restrictions are lifting.
I’ve included here in this post two of the things I’ve made using elements from this kit; the accordion file storage and the flip tag project. I’ve also made a birds nest card that I will share later this week.
I’m so pleased to hear that you are busy crafting.
Hugs,
Kerryanne

Oh this is just a gorgeous kit! I love the pops of yellow, the kittens and the rabbits.. the picket fence and all the fussy cuts. This is when I wish I had the machine to cut all of these out! I do enjoy fussy cutting too, but being able to cut all of them and tuck them away, would be awesome. Maybe someday. your monthly kits always make me drool!

I have a silhouette Marilyn, but I actually love hand cutting (fussy cutting) designs out…. real crafting starts right there, so keep on cutting my friend.
Hugs,
Kerryanne

I am sorry if I missed it. I tried to read carefully… What format are the images? Thanks.
Kerryanne says
Hi Esther, all the information about the Handmade Club can be found on the Handmade Club page (access from the navigation bar) 🙂
The images are all high res, 300 dpi with transparent backgrounds. They are supplied in a compressed zip file, that will need to be unzipped before using. I also supply some of the graphics and any projects I supply in ready to print PDF files. Hope this helps 🙂

I can’t get the link for the accordian file
Kerryanne says
Hi Brittney,
There’s no link for the accordion file storage, as the tutorial is not given on my blog. This project is a PDF printable project with instructions available in the May kit. 🙂
Happy crafting,
Kerryanne

Hello Kerryanne. I would like to become a new subscriber but had a question for you. I am very interested in the May 2020 kit, I just learned about your site today so unfortunately was not a member back then. I was wondering if I could pay for my 2 month subscription and also pay to purchase the month of Mays kit? Thank you for your answer.
Kerryanne says
Hi Heidi, thank you for your question.
Each monthly kit is exclusive to the Handmade Club and only available for one month. Twice a year I offer an opportunity for club members to purchase any of the older kits that were available prior to them joining the club. This offer is for one week in February and August. The August offer is currently running, but only has a few days left. Just so you know, and in reference to your comment, you do not pay for a 2 month subscription. This club has an automated ongoing monthly payment system with PayPal and is aimed at crafters who wish to receive a monthly kit. This is why you can’t just buy a single month. The value contained in the kit is in recognition of the commitment that members make to the club. I hope that all makes sense and if you have any further questions, please feel free to email me 🙂
