Hello creative friends,
I’m always excited to release a new monthly kit and this month is no exception.
Added 20th May, 2022 – this kit is now available on Etsy.
I think by now you know that I fully immerse myself into a theme and spend a whole month researching and designing for it.
And this past month I also had the added delight of having my new ‘craft room buddy in training’ joining me in the craft room!
Bonnie has adapted well to life in the craft room and plays happily while I work.
When she is quiet and all tired out I let her sit up on top of the craft tables where she watches everything I do. There were a few initial issues of her licking the watercolour paint straight out of the palette and attempting to drink the dirty brush water, but she figured out pretty quick that paint isn’t all that palatable!
So this month we’ve worked on a vintage themed kit together.
It’s set in Paris in the early 1900’s…. an exciting period when the art nouveau movement along with the Paris fashion houses were flourishing.
I’m delighted to share with you…. Boutique Parisienne.
Kit Theme:
At the turn of the century, Boutique Parisienne was one of Paris’ finest fashion houses, with a long list of well to do clients requesting the services of modiste, Mademoiselle Rose Bennet.
Renowned for her haute couture and millinery style, the modiste also stocked the very best cosmetics and scents for the social elite that flocked to her boutique.
Colour Palette:
Boutique Parisienne has a dual colour palette of muted French Grey Blues and Paris Blush Pinks.
The colour palettes may be used individually or combined as a coordinating duo.
What’s in the kit:
Boutique Parisienne contains 60+ png graphics with transparent backgrounds.
As always, these graphics are large in size, so that you may resized them for use in your own projects. Every graphic is contained in a zip file.
This collection is ultra feminine and contains all the pretties you’d expect to find in a 1900’s boutique… fancy corsets, shoes and corsages, perfumes and cosmetics.
All the modiste’s (dressmaker) equipment is there too, like mannequins, button cards, buttons, and cotton spools. It’s kinda two themes in one I guess, so there are plenty of options for using this kit.
There are numerous cards, journal cards, papers, pockets and tabs for journal makers too.
Paper Pack:
There are 24 coordinating papers, supplied in 3 sizes; A4, Letter and Journal 5″ x 7″.
All pages are contained in both a zip file and a printable PDF.
Print Files:
I have included 2 print files; one for fussy cuts and another file that contains the large papers and journal papers. These are available in both A4 and letter size files.
But that’s not all….
I’ve included a bonus E-book tutorial and print files for making this Boutique Parisienne mending and sewing kit booklet. The E-Book contains full step-by-step instructions with photos and full print files in both A4 and letter sized print files.
I’ll be sharing a closer look at this project on Shabby Art Boutique next week, along with another project for a corset loaded pocket.
