I’m always excited to present the new kit to the Handmade Club each month.
Having worked on the idea and graphics for several weeks, I always feel kind of like I’m serving up a big piece of my heart. There’s always the silent fear that others may not love it as much as I do…. or what if I’ve missed the mark altogether.
This months collection is simply called A Cottage Garden and it embraces all that I love about my garden.
I was inspired to make this kit because I’m planning to make a Garden Journal Keepsake about our new garden.
Everything that I had seen online embraced a more neutral earthy colour scheme… and while I do love that, I was envisioning more of a pretty, pastel cottage theme…. just like my garden.
I wanted the pretty papers to blend with my previous kits, so the graphics can be interchangeable for members.
There are 15 papers, in two sizes, with a colour palette of pastel pink, blue and aqua.
The 35 embellishments include a variety of seed packets, journal cards, advertising cards, tickets, bingo cards, tabs etc.
All of the graphics are in 300 dpi and have transparent backgrounds. They come as a ZIP file, as well as a couple of printable PDF’s.
As always, my graphic kits are for personal use only, or for very small commercial resale of junk journals.
Even though I designed these graphics with my gardening journal in mind, they are suitable for a multitude of projects eg. cards, tags, for framing, gift wrapping, bunting, place cards, spring/summer menu. I’ll be sharing a few projects I’ve made using this kit, here on the blog in the coming days.

I’m especially drawn to the July kit. You selections were perfect for the Garden Journal I want to make. I love the pastels.
Thank you Jackye. When I decided to make a garden journal everything was very earthy. I knew like you, that I wanted to include more pastels and cottage colours. I’m pleased with how it turned out and I’m super happy you like it too 🙂
