I popped one of my cinnamon ornaments on the Ginger Wishes tag.
Rudolph is jingling all the way with his rusty bells.
Santa still needs his rusty bell on his hat but you get the gist….
Here’s Rudolph again and this time he has dangle legs – how cute!!
The third project is a fiddly one but so worth it. I had to do something with the dozens of paper mache match boxes that were multiplying in my storage cupboard so came up with this unusual Advent Calender. This little cabinet has 24 little drawers that pull out to reveal a Christmas treat. Each side features 2 painted panels and 6 drawers.
The base even has dainty little feet. Children love anything that opens and shuts and my girls have already pulled out all the drawers and had a play. Aimee has lamented over the size of the drawers as she is used to a very large wall hanging advent calender that has room to hold big surprises….clearly I wasn’t thinking the day I decided to make that one!!
I plan on displaying this little Advent Calender on our coffee table and filling the drawers with special notes for my girls. Perhaps reminders of what we should be grateful for this Christmas season, thank you and praise notes and just plain love notes. Christmas spirit isn’t all about gifts.
Anyway, that’s enough yapping from me – still too much to do.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
Hey Kerryanne! Ooooooohhhhh!! LOOOOOVVE the Rudolph tags – the one with bells is my fave, but the dangle legs are cute, too!! I love the idea of Christmas notes and not just treats in your advent cabinet. I did an advent gift for our nephews one year and included lots of things they had to do – sing a Christmas Carol, make gingerbread from a recipe in one note, make Christmas cards, name Santa’s reindeer names … all fun stuff as well as the lollies – they loved it! I can see why you’ve been burried in your studio ‘cave’ – you’ve been brewing Christmas magic!! What a clever chook you are!! Look forward to more sneaky peeks! Bear Hugs & Jugs! Oh I love your Christmas goodies, how divine is Rudolph on that bag….I feel I may be stitching a Kerryanne design this year!! I have achieved nothing yet this week, I wish all the washing and feeding of children would just disappear for a few days then i would be fine…well probably need longer than that! Sorry your girls have the dreaded lurgy but I must admit when I read head nurse i thought that your poor head was still troubling you….oh my that was weeks ago….kiss noises Linda Lilly Cottage.

Kerryanne you have outdone yourself!! Each and everyone is adorable, I love the calico tea stained bag, I’d love to try and do something like that, was it tricky? OK I paint, but I am hopeless with fabrics, I can’t even see the eye of the needle to thread it…you seem to be able to create anything and everything!
Yes I know you understand about the markets, I just can’t wait to be there tomorrow (NOT), it’s going to be all of 12 deg. and raining!
