Don’t you just love lazy Sundays?
I don’t get them often enough but was adamant that today WAS going to be one of those lay around days where we just spent quality time as a family with no fixed plans. Melbourne offered up another beautiful spring day and we were up early to head off for some breakfast and shopping at……
Yeah I know what you are thinking….isn’t IKEA furniture??? Well it is and we were there to look for some items for Jessica’s new bedroom make-over but a spot of breakfast before shopping really set the mood. My girls just love the fun of lining up with your tray at the IKEA cafeteria and helping themselves to the bottomless cups of fizzy drink….can’t say I am thrilled about that so early in the morning but hey, it was a ‘Lazy Sunday’.

After lunch….ahhh yes we stuffed our faces again then spent the most enjoyable afternoon in the back yard. This was the view…….
The girls and I and of course Gypsy, continued our ‘lazy Sunday’ laying in the shade of our Alder trees, swinging, talking, laughing and just basically having fun. It was a great opportunity to talk about our week ahead, share some teenage goss with Jess (ohhh, she is growing up way too fast) and more importantly – what was going on the ‘Wish List’ for Santa.

This is Aimee sharing the hammock with me – lucky it is a double hammock. Gypsy was on there too but didn’t manage to sneak her furry face in this shot.

This turned out to be a lovely photo of our ‘Princess Jess’. She is looking all summery and pretty. Despite the smile she is currently struggling with the debilitating affects of chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It has been a long hard road to travel this past 7 months. We hope that 2008 will see her turn the corner so she can resume her active life again. Keep smiling babe – it can’t last forever.
Great post Kerryanne. Ikea, I haven’t been there since they shut down their Moorabbin outlet. The thought of having to drive from the Mornington Peninsula to Richmond turns me off going. Looks like you and the girls enjoyed your day. Poor Jessica CFS for 7 months – hope she has a fabulous 2008.

Hi Kerryanne,
Your princess Jess is lovely, I do hope she has a better time of it this year, it is so hard isn’t it.
On a brighter note, Ikea is great isn’t it! I love that they have it in Richmond now, for us over the other side of Melbourne at least it’s central for us! It’s so easy to come out of there and spend way more than planned….
Kerryanne your girls are BEAUTIFUL !! Truly, they are so pretty! But you already knew that.
Jess must be a very tough young lady too 🙂
Sounds like you guys had a wonderful sunday together, lotsa giggles..and that hammock view looks great!
Dont feel bad about the fizzy drink for breakfast. One sunday a month we have ‘Junk For Breakfast Day’ which is usually me and my lil guy having chockie and milkshakes for breakfast! he thinks its awesome…ahhh lifes too short to worry about everything isnt it!
Luv Shann xo
