I think they are my all time fav fruit. Well, I love anything summery and tropical but strawberries seem to be a fruit you just don’t tire of. Also, they not only taste good but they are sooo good for you too – very few calories as well so what a bonus!!!

For those of you not watching the waistline you can even have the chocolate dipped ones. Oh heaven….chocolate and strawberries together ….doesn’t get much better than that.
Not unless you add alcohol too.
Here’s a recipe for a very refreshing drink for a hot summer’s arvo.
Strawberry Daiquiri
Serves 6
600ml lemonade,
50ml brandy,
1 tablespoon raw sugar,
250g strawberries, hulled and diced,
2 cups strawberry ice cream.
Place lemonade, brandy and sugar in blender and mix. Add strawberries, ice cream and mix slightly.
Serve in cocktail glasses decorated with a strawberry.
Oh joy!!!
So enticing are these little delights, I have even been painting them. This is a sneak peak from a series of paintings I am currently working on. You will have to wait until next week to see all of them.
Great Sneak Peek of the strawberries in your painting. look froward to seeing the rest next week.
