Hello there…. yes it’s actually me!
I know. . .
I’ve been kind of absent for the past few weeks. . .
just been popping in for Shabbilicious Friday and the occasional post.
Maybe I should have popped a sign on the blog door. . . back in 10 minutes a few days.
Hmm, the truth is. . . I’m here.
I’ve got things to show you and share with you,
. . . stories to tell and even some freebie projects. . .
But every time I want to post. . . ‘things’ happen.
Not fun ‘things’.
Take last week for example. I got a new computer. Okay, well that bit was fun, but then one of those ‘things’ happened.
While reconnecting to my email server it decided to drop 39,000+ old emails into my inbox. 39,000!!! All kinds of things. . . emails I’ve sent, others I’ve received, some from my saved files. . . all jumbled in together.
How weird!!
After a few days of trying to sort through it, I finally decided to delete the lot. Everything!!
Right now it feels kind of cathartic to have a fresh start for 2014 with 3 empty email inboxes.
Hmm… I suspect that I’ll change my mind about that the first time I need to refer back to my history. Anyhoo, that ‘thing’ sucked three days out of my busy week!!
So. . . in amongst all those ‘things’ that have been happening this past few weeks I have managed to complete a few projects of my own.
One was my word for the year.
I chose. . . BALANCE
My positive word to inspire me this year as I strive to keep all areas of my life. . . (work, rest and play). . . balanced.
Ooopps. . . is anyone else seeing the sad irony here?
Okay, well 2014 hasn’t got off to a great start with my word of inspiration.
There’s been zilch balance in my life this past 2 weeks – lol.
But I promise I’m working on this and will succeed at giving equal time and love to all the essential areas of my life.
I am after all a Libran. . . the most balanced star in the zodiac!
I totally understand!! “Things” always happens to us, but sometimes we can`t respond to them in the right way, but we act as if we were enchanted by their magic
Your blog is wonderful and you’re a wonderful person and I’m sure you’ll find a balance in everything. After all you are a Libran!! 🙂

Kerryanne, did you draw your word (balance), or is it a font? It’s just gorgeous. And take it from another Libran, the chaos will all balance out in the end. It always does.

Hi Kerryanne,Happy New year. Disruptions and “chaos” do balance out after a while. I think the main thing to think is one step at a time, one thing at a time. One foot after the other. Computers can be such a pain at times. We have a new computer set up couple weeks ago, oh dear what a headache at times, but getting there. Also had to redo and find new e-mails.This would be a very busy time for you as well with your commitments. Best wishes Shirley N.Z.
