Do you ever make plans or have ideas that seem so incredibly GREAT at the time, only to have them unravel quicker than a rolling ball of twine? You know the type… BIG plans that really get you excited. Yeah well, I had a few of those just prior to Christmas. I’ve still got those big plans… I’m just having trouble implementing them at the moment. Life’s like that!!
We seem to have had a succession of ‘life’s unexpected interruptions’ this past few weeks and the school holidays turned out to be less than relaxing. Hopefully when the girls return to school next week and I can ensconce myself fully in my studio again, life will feel a little more… um, routine and ordinary!
So anyway, part of my ‘To Do’ list over the holidays included remodelling the studio in readiness for exciting new ‘Creativity’ classes in 2011. I got off to a good start by repainting the whole studio, re-organising my craft supplies and even managed to make a start on the new patterns for the web-store. Since then I’ve only been working in the studio a bit here and there, so those tasks on the ‘To Do’ list are only very slowly being ticked off.
It’s been a bit too hot and humid to paint this past week, so I’ve indulged in some creative sewing.
Added a touch of blue to the classroom with some Tilda inspiration.
The blue and burgundy combination adds a splash of colour in the all white classroom.
Hopefully next week I’ll have the website uploaded too. I’ve been working on it when I can and it is almost ready to be re-opened.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne

Hi Kerryanne,
I don’t have kids at home anymore, yet I’m also feeling the same as you, I’ve had loads unravelling going on overhere, frustrating to say the least!
I think you should be well pleased with those absolutely gorgeous dolls you’ve created – I love them!! You are so clever, I have a vision of you creating a painting using them as subjects….
I do hope we all get back into our routines very soon

Frustrating to say the least when you know what you want to get done but you don’t seem to get there.
The Tildas are fab – you’ve just reminded me that I had a book for Christmas about ideas for Christmas Tildas – must give it a closer look.
