Hello ‘shabbilicious’ friends,
April seems to have flown past so quickly… even with being isolated at home.
I don’t know about you, but I’m kind of finding a new groove now and enjoying the extra time I’m having being creative. Sure I miss going out and lot’s of other things, but I’m trying to be positive in a bad situation and be grateful for the good things I still have.
Throwing myself into work has been the perfect distraction for April. I’ve been busy restocking my Etsy Store and you have all kept me very busy with the Handmade Club this month. It seems that the crafting at home theme, (The Vintage Dressmaker) turned out to be the perfect kit for crafters in isolation and I’ve really enjoyed your feedback and lovely emails.
I wanted to share a few extras about the kit….
Like, did you notice the little line on the right hand side of the base of the embroidery spools?
If you cut that line with your craft knife you will have a handy place to store the ends of your embroidery thread.
Another handy tip: if you adhere a magnet to the back of the thread keeper spool at the top (behind the flower graphic), you’ll have a thread keeper that doubles as a needle keeper!
I think this lovely set would make a sweet Mother’s Day gift for a mother or even a special friend who likes embroidery or cross-stitch.
What was your favourite thing to make from the April kit?
If you’ve made something fabulous, we’d love for you to share it in our Facebook group Simply Shabbilicious.

New in my ETSY Store
I’ve also been adding new items to my Shabby Art Boutique ETSY store lately and will continue to keep adding items each week.
Some items are new designs or re-loved vintage designs, while others have been elements of my Handmade Club past kits. Please note, I am not releasing the actual club kits (that will never happen), but I have made available a few items from a couple of those kits.
New this week…. collage pages.
These printable PDF single pages are themed and perfect for use in a junk journal or for card making.
They can be download as both letter size (USA) or A4 paper size. All are 300 dpi, high resolution graphics.
There’s also 6 new crafting labels that are blank
and ready for use in your craft or sewing room.
See how I used my crafting labels in this post HERE.
I have many more items to add to the store, so will keep on adding them each week.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me.
You can visit my ETSY store HERE.
During this time of social distancing , I know I’ve taken great pleasure from the positive crafting community we have in my Facebook group, Simply Shabbilicious. If you’ve not joined yet, please do and I promise we’ll lift your spirits with our inspiring shares and crafty chatter.
Happy crafting my friends!
Hugs

Wow!!! Lots of gorgeous printables??? You are so inspiring Kerryanne??? Thank you for not only sharing your talents and inspiration but also your positivity?❣️? We all need more of that❣️❣️❣️ I have been doing quite a bit of sewing…curtains made out of soft blue and cream toile for my sewing room, and I’ve been doing quite a bit of hand work…embroidery, for example, onto piece stitching…I love doing that, it’s very relaxing??? I want to have a bit of gifts ready for those special days and get some of your beautiful tags printed off??? Hope you are having a great week Kerryanne…stay safe and well??? Smiles, Deborah ???
Thank you for your kind words Deborah. Sounds like you are keeping your hands busy during ISO and I agree, it’s a great time to build up a few pieces in readiness for gift giving later in the year. I’ve even heard of people making a start on Christmas projects.
Keeping on crafting my friend xx
I’m loving your new things in your Etsy store! The labels are adorable and so soft and pretty! I’ll be shopping there soon. I’ve been doing a little crafting with my paper crafts, and making some embellished gold paperclips (large ones) with some jewelry dangles (new to me). It’s fun to do something new! Take care… Marilyn
