What a busy weekend we have had. It was Aimee’s first game of basketball for the Summer Season and we had a win. I’m the team manager this season so another task to add to the jobs list each week. After basketball we headed off to our school fete – an outstanding effort once again with huge crowds and a day enjoyed by all. Of course my children gorged themselves on fairy floss, fizzy drinks and rubbish food then spent their time being twisted and shaken on the many rides….you know you are getting older when the thought of being thrown around in this manner is not the least bit enticing.

Yesterday I had an unplanned but very enjoyable ‘child free’ day down at the Mornington Craft market. I always find a day spent at a craft market surrounded by all that creative talent very inspiring. I didn’t buy much but I did get another birdhouse. See my theory is this…….with our tough watering restrictions and my very thirsty cottage garden I can’t justify putting in more thirsty plants so I am filling up any vacant spots with garden art. I have lots of birdhouses so I don’t suppose Mark will notice yet another one……..anyway, I didn’t have one with a heart opening!!
Maybe birdhouses are becoming another obsession of mine because I seem to be getting quite a collection…… even in the studio.
These little one’s were fun to paint and oh so shabby!! I used pretty pink glass beads for the feet on one of the birdhouses.
soooooooo very gorgeous and pretty!
