Hi there creative friends,
I’ve been having fun this past few days creating projects with the new March Handmade Club kit, Spring Fair.
The kit this month has two parts; Spring Fair, which is full of fairground whimsy and Spring Parade, that embraces more of the floral and re-loved vintage elements…. so hopefully there is something for everyone within this theme.
When I was painting the carousel designs I wanted to add something else that had some height and was originally thinking perhaps a Ferris Wheel…. but they are kind of boring and I wanted whimsy and pretty, so I decided to sketch out some hot air balloons.
I’m so glad that I did, because even though they were a last minute inclusion, I’m actually loving these and I’m finding them to be very versatile.
Hot Air Balloons Pop-Up Box Card
We loved the pop-up box cards at Christmas and I just knew these sweet hot air balloons would look fabulous floating out of the top of the box.
How stinkin’ cute are these ?
Honestly, for such a quick and easy project, they look really substantial.
One of the reasons I love these box cards is the fact that they don’t blow or fall over like conventional cards.
They tell a story and are pretty enough to be left sitting on a shelf, on a work desk, hospital bedside table, teachers desk etc….. there are so many options for these.
On the back of the box card there is ample room to write a message…
And did you know that the box card folds flat, so you are able to put it in an envelope to post of give with a gift.
Where to Get This Printable
If you are a Handmade Club member, the ‘Print & Make ’ PDF file for this project is now in the March club download folder.
I included a tutorial as well, so you’ll be able to whip this project up in no time… in fact, I recon you’ll make more than one!
This pop-up box card ‘Print & Make’ is a bonus project for the March Handmade Club, Spring Fair kit.
