Thanks to the internet, the world is a very fast paced place these days, so there is little wonder that some of us love nothing more than to receive something ‘special’ in the mail box….. whether that be a simple postcard or an extravagant care package… anything as long as it makes the recipient ‘happy’.
This month for the Handmade Club kit, I included a request by a member for a few extra things that could be used for happy mail.
And, they blended seamlessly into the beautiful Field of Flowers kit.
Happy Mail
There are two types of printable envelopes and 6 different designs in the kit this month.
I particularly like these tall narrow envelopes, which would be just as lovely inside of a pretty, shabby journal.
They couldn’t be easier to put together…. simply print, cut out and score around the main picture box.
Then you just need to add a little glue to the side tabs and fold the back of the card up. Done!!
There’s also lots of pretty embellishments in the kit that you can print as stickers, like the one shown on the back of this envelope.
If you don’t have sticker paper, which you can get from office supplies in the paper section, you could just fussy cut the images and use a glue stick to stick them on.
There’s over 100 graphic images included in the Field of Flowers kit, so lots of pretty printables you can cut out and add to your happy mail.
The colour palette for the kit is pastel pinks, mauves and greens…. and it is all deliciously shabby!
Petite Pocket Envelope
If you are looking for a little something extra to pop into a Happy Mail envelope or parcel, I included a free tutorial and PDF printable for making this sweet multi pocket envelope that you can fill with shabbilicious gorgeousness…. like tickets, tags, stamps and fussy cuts. The whole project is ready to print and make.
Wouldn’t this petite pocket envelope be just as gorgeous used in a journal?
A Traveling Postcard
To celebrate the Field of Flowers kit and our thriving Facebook friendship group at Simply Shabbilicious, I’ve put together a Traveling Postcard that will start its journey next week.
A list of participants will be collected in our group and this beautiful ‘happy mail’ postcard will travel from one member to another, filled with gorgeousness.
As it travels around the world we will watch it’s progress in our group and you never know, some wonderful pen pal partnerships may develop along the way…. because who doesn’t love getting a little something special in the mail every now and then!
If you are already a member of Simply Shabbilicious, be sure to look for the post with the sign up details.
