Oh goodness…. now that is hot!!!
After a week long heatwave that has seen Melbourne’s temperatures soar to the mid 40’s everyday, we are all feeling a bit overwhelmed. On Wednesday night our power was cut from 8:30 pm until 3:30 am. The mercury didn’t drop below 30 all night so we spent a very warm night without fans or the air conditioning. We won’t even touch on the fridge and freezer which was rapidly defrosting in the high 30 degree temperatures…. uugghh!!
You know it is hot when you see our Australian wildlife taking to the beach.
Oh Kerryanne, you poor things, how horrid to be so hot without POWER!!! Oh my goodness, I would say move to Tasmania but I don’t think that is at all practicle. I shall send some coold air conditioning vibes your way and hope that youu stay cool. Great photos by the way!!

I had no idea they could swim. My 4 year old was looking at the pictures with me and said she feels really bad for the kangaroo. Hope it cools down for you soon.
oh you poor poor baby. i hate the heat with a passion. i remember when i was pregnant with lili and we had a heat wave 42 43 etc.. one of the nights i was deleriously yelling out the window in the middle of the night …’ where is the air, i need air’!!!! try to stay cool any way you can.

Wow Kerryanne! Hope it cools for you soon. We are experiencing the exact opposite…just had a huge snow storm blow through and lots of people without power too.
Amazing shots of the kangaroo!!! I guess everyone needs to cool off now and then…lol!
oH IT IS SO HOT AND HARD ON HUMAnS and our wildlife.
I have left water out morning ad night all over our property.
Kangaroos apparently are amzing swimmers…
But I think it is very out of the ordinary for them to do so.
Poor thing.
We broke an all time record for high temps since 59!!
Poor kids starting School next week…Like my Preppie.
The forecast has’nt a day under 30 degrees…Ugh!
Stay cool

Hi Kerryanne,
Great pics!
I have never ever seen a kangaroo on the beach before, so thanks for sharing.
Every morining & night I have been watching the weather forcast for down your way & can’t believe it’s still that hot….I feel for you my friend.
I have just sat with my feet in a tub of cold water to see if that will relieve them, seems to have worked a little. At least they don’t feel like they are on fire any more.
Will the power company give you a rebate on your power bill since it had to be shut down? God I hope so!

Yeah come to Tassie, our max today in Hobart was about 30, bearable. No kangaroos here though only wallabies! I saw Kangaroo surfing at Stradbroke Island once, they sure know how to cool down!!
Keep Cool!!
Oh I do hope that your power doesn’t get cut again! I love the ice cream truck photo.
