I have something I feel quite passionate about that I want to share with you today… but I just know that my excitement will overflow and all this info is just going to gush on out…
So perhaps I should just start at the beginning and take it slowly.
A while ago I heard about a new product that inventor Mark Lacy was planning to get into production through a kickstarter program. At the time, I didn’t even know what a kickstarter program was…
But the product Mark had invented was brilliant and I knew that I needed to find out more about it. So this is My Paint Saint – I have 3 of the prototypes.
It truly is one of those inventions that is so simple and obvious and you are left wondering… “why didn’t I think of that”.
Mark developed My Paint Saint over many years. Basically, it’s a brush in a can of paint that both stores your touch up paint and your brush, which means never having to clean your brushes. But honestly, that’s too simple… because My Paint Saint is a lot more than that!
Let’s start with the paint container. Mark used a silicone gasket, which creates a hermetic seal that locks the bristles in a moist atmosphere and prevents them from drying out. There’s a 5” synthetic brush, with its stainless steel ferrule that won’t rust and the ergonomic six-inch soft rubber handle…. oh, and let’s not forget the drip catcher attached to the handle!
There’s built in ledges for removing paint and I love the large white space on the label where you can write down the colour and paint code etc.
Every home gets unavoidable damage to painted walls… especially when you have kids… right!
I’m sure we are all guilty of putting that repair job off because the thought of finding a suitable brush, the right paint can (that hasn’t gone hard) and the clean up afterwards, just seems like too much hassle. But having a My Paint Saint filled with your touch up paint puts an end to all of that.
We put the My Paint Saint to the test here in the resort. What could be more perfect than 20 townhouses with guests coming and going every day?
Wall damage is unavoidable for us, especially when guest are carrying in luggage and suitcases. What’s more, we only have a small window of opportunity to get the townhouses looking perfect between guests departure at 10 am and new arrivals at 2 pm.
We started by getting our housekeepers to document any marks they found while cleaning. Then my hubby would come along with his My Paint Saint, unscrew the closing ring and attach it to the handy thread at the bottom. He’d take out the brush, wiping the excess paint on the ledges provided, touch up the wall and put the brush back into the pot. DONE… in less than 20 seconds!!!
No prying open old paint cans, no washing or storing paint brushes and no having to worry about messy drips or paint spills!
We no longer put off the maintenance painting. It gets done straight away, which keeps the resort looking perfect all the time. The My Paint Saint actually saves us time and money too. We are no longer continuously buying painting brushes or losing valuable time in clean up procedures. Honestly, no one likes cleaning paint brushes and I think that’s why we so often put off doing these jobs.
Our only problem was, we both wanted to do the touch ups, but we found a solution. I let hubby tend to the resort and I have my own ‘My Paint Saint’ filled with Dulux Antique White for our home.
After using the Paint Saint for several months, our finding was that we LOVE this product. We have no hesitation in recommending it and we’ll even go as far as to say “every home needs 1 or more My Paint Saints”.
The My Paint Saint would make a great gift idea for a house warming, for that hard to buy for DIY’er or anyone who wants to keep their home looking great all the time.
My Paint Saint – the kickstarter
SO… I bet you are like me and have never heard of a KICKSTARTER program? This is how Kickstarter works – it’s a mission to help bring creative projects to life by giving inventors a platform to showcase their products. My Paint Saint is being offered through Kickstarter so Mark, the inventor, can bring his ingenious product to a hardware store near you! Buying a My Paint Saint or a set now will go a long way to reaching the goal and getting MPS manufactured and on the shelves. You can help launch this fantastic product and be the first one of your friends to have a My Paint Saint by visiting the ‘My Paint Saint’ page HERE. What a super item and as you say Kerryanne – the sort of thing that makes you say “why didn’t I think of that?”.
Wishing Mark all the best of success with something that looks really useful.

Yes Toni, sometimes the best inventions are really simple and obvious. The My Paint Saint has made such a difference to the way we do things here and I’d never be without one now, no matter where I lived. Wish I had of had one when my kids were younger! Hugs xx

Didn’t even consider how much touch up painting you do at Shelly Beach Resort! My Paint Saint is a savior for you guys!! Great post & I could;t agree more – MPS in every home or business!!
Kerryanne says
Yep, touch up painting is just a given here, but it used to be a job we put off and did all in one hit, leaving the townhouses looking less than perfect on occasion. Now we can do it as soon as a guest leaves and in less than a minute. We are singing the praises of My Paint Saint, that is for sure Kelly.

Kerryanne,
Thank you so much for this fabulous post!! I am tempted to take the pic above and paste it as our main campaign photo. 20 townhomes is a perfect test for MPS. You did such a great job of illustrating MPS. I would like to know how you attached the paper clipped notes! This post could be copied and pasted into a better homes and gardens magazine! Thanks again and I hope MPS makes your life easier. If any readers have any question please feel free to call Mark @ 281-667-1124 MPS President/Inventor.

Please believe that if I possibly could I would put in my contribution. We just found out Monday our grandson has cancer again and it’s worse this time. He’s not on his Dad’s insurance anymore as he moved out to room with friends awhile back. We don’t really know what kind of insurance if any he has but we’ll be helping out as much as we can. He’ll be tied up having some really strong chemo for about 4 months then a stem cell transplant if a qualified donor is found. I’m hoping it will be me. Hope I’m not too old. He has cancer in his liver and we don’t know where else. Only have little bit of info from Facebook pages. When Jordan had cancer before (at 13 -17) and suffered thu 4 surgeries. He was clean of cancer til just recently. There are family problems so we were never allowed to see him when he was sick before. Whatever he was told we won’t be allowed to see him now either altho he’s 21. I have sent him messages on his facebook page but he won’t answer that or my phone calls for long time now. This goes back a few years now, too long and sad a story to tell here.. It’s so hard to even think about all of it but it’s in front now and we have to deal with it, we want so badly for him to live and put this behind him. We’ll do whatever we can to support him even if he won’t talk to us.
He’s in a hospital in Denver as far as we know. My son was supposed to call us today with what was happening but never heard from him. There is much unpleasantness between son’s wife and our daughter also. Daughter in law has not been a nice person for far too long, sad to say. She has done far too many hurtful things to too many people, mostly myself and our daughter. DIl is kind of person if you don’t do what she wants then she finds way to hurt you and your kids. Wish so much not true but is. So please forgive me for not helping out with this worthy project. Don’t work too hard. This looks like such a wonderful idea, good for him. Glad it’s helped you also.
Thanks for reading.

I appreciated your support always Jane Ellen. I think you have far more important things to be thinking about right now with your grandson and family situation. I’m very sad to hear that the cancer has returned. It is such an insidious disease that touches nearly all families in some way. I truly hope that your grandson gets the best care possible and returns to perfect health soon. I’ll be saying a prayer for you and your grandson xx

Heavenly Father, I pray for this family. I pray for complete healing for her grandson. Family can be complicating when we let past/ and not forgiving and moving forward one day at a time; build walls instead of bridges to life and loving each other. Lord may each let go of the rope and grab ahold of your hand and love on this young man with cancer. Let each family come together in love and support each other. Stress is not good for cancer. Love and Pray is what this young man needs . And Lord I ask that you put your Loving Arms around this young man and He will feel your presence in a mighty way. Amen. P.S. I know what deep wounds are like when inflicted upon you, but I learned to forgive , process and obedience to God’s Word.
