With school holidays, Easter and two short work weeks, I’ve definitely suffered from ‘disappearing day’ syndrome over the past few weeks. I suppose you all relate to this too. Hopefully this week I’ll catch up with my work schedule, which is already off to a fun start.
A full class of enthusiastic participants started my online course ‘Embracing the Passion’ yesterday. It gives me such pleasure to watch over them as they unleash their creativity and cultivate their passions over the month long course. I expect to be seeing some wonderful things.
Today is our Princess Jess’ 17th birthday, so we all look forward to some celebrating tonight. She was pretty low key about it this morning, which I suppose is a sign of growing up…. plus she was anxious about school work due in today. We’ll make a big fuss tonight. I’ve just made her birthday cake – a Maltesers and raspberry ice-cream cake; her favourite!! Jess doesn’t eat any cake ( I know, how strange, who doesn’t eat cake?), but she does love this particular ice-cream cake.
Classes resume this week too and I look forward to welcoming some new students to the classroom. Today though it is just me here and these two crazies for company . . .
My dogs think they are human and often sit up at the studio tables with me. They watch everything I do too!! These photos were taken during the holidays by Miss Aimee who couldn’t believe that the dogs watch me sew.
Occasionally, Milly our little toy poodle pup sneaks away with things off the table when I’m not looking. She took a stuffed arm a few weeks back when I was making fabric bunnies. I searched everywhere but couldn’t find it, so eventually had to make another or put up with an one armed bunny. Wouldn’t you know it, as soon as I finished it she returned the missing arm!!
Sewing is on the agenda this week too. . . want a sneak peek?
This is quite a different colour palette for me, but I’m loving it.
I have several new designs using this fabric that will be released as patterns in the Willow’s Craft Room range later this week.
So that’s it for me today. I have pattern writing and class prep to keep me busy for now.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne

Hi Kerryanne, the little pups are so cute. Sitting on the chairs and watching you work they do look like little kids of a furry kind. Wonder what is going on in those little heads.

ok so now I have learned to read the comments before I make mine so I don’t write exactly the same as the previous person. Lucky it was Anna. LOL 🙂
