Today is Tuesday which means Clare is once again hosting Tuesday’s Treasures. Make sure you pop on over to check out all the pretty treasure.
This is my offering for today ~ A German Bavaria gold tea set, complete with tea pot, creamer, sugar bowl and six tea cups and saucers.
I remember as a child being fascinated with the gold on my great aunts tea set. Some may think it garish but to a child, all that twinkling gold and petite teacups made me feel like a princess. Years later I inherited this beautiful tea set and now it lives safely in a locked display cabinet. It is one of the few antique pieces I don’t use.
This week in the studio I am rewriting old patterns ready for re-release, but in between the boring technical stuff I’m working on a few more custom orders.
This is a set of timber letters I cut and decorated for ‘Michaela’.
There’s also a matching card.
The paper used for this project is Bella Uptown Girl in Style Icon and Dots.
I added some stencilling, rhinestones, paper punch flowers and other embellishments. I dotted the ‘i’ with a black wire photo holder coil.
While I am working on a few projects incorporating pretty scrapbook papers, I have taken the opportunity to put together a few cards.
This one was made using Kaisercraft Tudor Jubilee and Tudor Piccadilly.
Periodically, I set aside a whole day just to make cards but haven’t had that luxury of late. Card making days are best spent with a group of crafty friends sitting around a table laden with craft tidbits and left-overs, a glass or two of bubbly and sweet treats. So, who’s interested?
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
Your tea set is so delicate. I can see why you were fascinated with it when you were little.

That teaset is amazing. Sometimes we just need to have things purely to look at and never use.
Pick me pick me!! I will happily come and drink some bubbles and make some cards with you! Just give me a date and time….make sure you allow travelling time!
gorgeous tea set!

Love the teaset Kerryanne. My mum had a similar one but it was all gold no picture. Think my dads 2nd wife got rid of it!!
Your idea of card making sounds like fun to me.
Alison
cute tea set!!
love the custom work you’ve been doing.
I’d love to be in for a crafty time with you, unfortunately we’re thousands of kilometres apart!
Great card thanks for sharing!!!
I have this EXACT tea set. The numbers on the bottom of the cups are in the 70’s. I have a few others but this is the most complete set I have. Each cup has a different image, both of the same couple. It’s a gorgeous set. I’m happy to see someone else enjoys it as much as I do!
