My post on Monday about designer Tone Finnanger and her gorgeous Tilda products has set off a bevy of questions… and that’s okay.
It’s completely understandable… we all love Tilda and I certainly don’t mind answering them.
It seems this particular image was popular with many of you and sparked many questions on what it is and where to get the pattern. It’s an appliqued town placemat shown with a teacup pincushion made using the Happiness is Homemade fabric collection.

Both of these beautiful sewing projects are in the last book released by Tilda called Homemade and Happy.
It is a truly lovely book filled with 25 projects. Tone described the book as an autumn and winter book with a hint of Christmas.
Chris from GlitzyMe asked about the fabric sewing machine.
This adorable design comes in two sizes and the pattern template and instructions are in the book Homemade and Happy.
I am sooooo in love with this Happiness is Homemade range from Tilda.
I’ve made many things with the fabrics… like my very favourite half apron.
Did you see this post last year?
The paper range that matches the fabrics is adorable too. I just can’t keep it in stock… it goes as soon as it arrives!
I didn’t intend for this to be a review of the Happiness is Homemade book, but as it turns out, all of these designs are from the same book.
I can honestly highly recommend it. There’s not one project in there that I wouldn’t want to make… and eventually, I will get around to making all of them.
You can get Tilda’s Homemade and Happy at Book Depository

Thank you so much, Kerryanne, I just fell in love with that little machine and the apron and the pin cushion. Just ordered the book from the Book Depository. You’re such a sweetie!
