Last month when I was creating the shabby farmhouse fall kit for the Handmade Club, I totally embraced the look of dainty pink roses with white pumpkins and soft sage leaves…. together they are just so perfectly ‘shabbilicious’.
They are not only an easy on the eye transition from summer to fall, but are perfect for those who prefer a softer pastel side of fall.
I was playing around with ideas and I came up with this pumpkin amongst the roses banner piece and decided to keep it as a free printable for YOU, my blog readers.
I printed 3 of the shabby banner pieces to make a super cute garland to hang on my dresser in the living room.
Projects don’t come much simpler than this:
-
simply print on light card
-
cut out your design with pointy nose scissors
-
use a hole punch to put a hole in both sides of each banner piece
-
and sting together with ribbon or twine.

Oh, Kerryanne, I was so thrilled to see your free Fall printables. I loathe orange and black, the traditional Halloween colors. I used them, but never really liked the results. And I’m not that fond of Fall colors in general unless they are leaves on trees. So here is a Fall banner I can make which is in muted, subtle pastels–oh, joy! I am very appreciative.
Blessings, Linda

You are most welcome Linda. As a non ‘orangy’ kind of person too, I get that it’s hard to decorate at this time of year unless you move towards more neutral tones. I really felt there was room for some pumpkins amongst the roses this year and it appears there were lots of others that enjoyed that too 🙂
So glad I have inspired you for some shabby fall decor!!

Oh this is so so pretty! Love the larger size of this one and I DEFINITELY want to use it for a banner on my hutch in my dining room. If I want it to be a little more “Fall-ish” I may put some light touches of peach and (light) orange amongst the roses! I’m not an orange love, but for some reason, I do love peaches and orange colors in the Fall season. I so love everything you make. I’m hoping I can soon join your Handmade Club too!
Kerryanne says
Thank you Marilyn. I love that you are planning to add your own touches to make this fit with your own look. I hope you’ll share it with us when you have made your fall banner.
Happy crafting,

I love the fall colors! But I love pink roses(my very favorite flower) and shabby chic so I love this. I think I will make a simple banner; I have an archway between my front hall and living room and a piece of pink ribbon begging for a good home. Twenty years ago, I bought 5 or 6 orange pieces of clothing; took it with me for a 3 day convention, shoes, nail polish, sun hat, everything orange! Made packing decisions easy. Anyway, I got teased by friends as orange jumpsuits were the color forthe local maximum security jails/ prison. I just replied, “It’s OK, I hardly ever run when I have this outfit on.” Have added to this wardrobe as things wore out; it is a summer staple for me! It is a good color on me, too!
Kerryanne says
I think it is completely okay top have a foot in both camps Kathy 🙂
I’m glad you’ve got a spot to hang the shabby fall banner.
