In the Craft Room…

The Craft Room by Shabby Art Boutique provides just that… a welcoming and inspiring space where crafters can come together, share their work, and participate in creative challenges.
Nicola ~ My Shabby Craft Corner
Our Design Team member Nicola of My Shabby Craft Corner has already set a wonderful creative prompt this month… complete with a video tutorial on how to make these adorable stacked envelopes.
The Sweetest Tea Party kit contains four beautiful floral envelopes in three sizes: small, medium and large.
Our Craft Room members have been sharing their own beautiful versions of the envelope stack this week.
In all, Nicola has completed 5 stunning design team projects using the new August kit.
Click the YouTube video below to watch the flip through of Nicola’s gorgeous projects using The Sweetest Tea Party.
Teapot Teabag Holder
Not only did Nicola design this amazing 3 dimensional teapot gift bag, she also created a 3D tea cup and a plate using the papers from the Tea Party kit.
Adorned with sweet lace, flowers, peals and a satin bow, the teapot gift bag is large enough to hold specialty tea bags.
What an amazing way to gift tea to a treasured friend!

3D Teacup Card
Nicola worked her magic to create this oh-so-adorable 3 dimensional stacked teacup card using papers from The Sweetest Tea Party kit.
The paper collection has 20 pretty papers in a blush and neutral colour palette, so there are plenty to choose from.
What lady wouldn’t love to receive this magical card!
Amazon Brown Paper Bag Folio
Something as simple as a used Amazon brown paper bag can form the basis of a multi page folio…. and who doesn’t love preserving memories in a delightfully gorgeous journal.
Nicola combined pretty laces and haberdashery trims with the kit’s beautiful little girls, teacups, and cakes to tell a unique story on every page, which will make capturing and journaling memories even more special.
See the video above for the flip through.
Shabby Raggy Pillow
Nicola’s final project was a project of the heart ♥
To create this sweet shabby, raggy pillow, Nicola printed some of the individual graphic elements from the kit onto fabric.
The four fabric panels are combined with laces and handmade flowers to create this pretty pillow that would be the perfect addition to any shabby themed room.

Nicola wasn’t the only one creating with the new August Craft Room kit this week…. Carolyn has also stepped into the world of ‘sweetness’.
Teacup Pockets for Journals or Page Toppers
Carolyn used The Sweetest Tea Party to create the pretties little decorative toppers that can be attached to the front of a journal, to a journal page or the front of a greeting card.
Carolyn also shows you how she created an easy teacup pocket… and it is adorable!

Teapot Ephemera Holder
With so many beautiful pieces of ephemera to play with in this kit, you’ll definitely want to create an ephemera holder to keep it all together and ready for your next project.
Carolyn made a feature of one of the teapots on the front cover, with handy pockets inside to store your fussy-cuts.
