Every month, we’ll sit down with a standout member from the Craft Room to chat about all things crafty, from what they like to make to what inspires them.
As October unfolds its vibrant hues, I’m excited to introduce you to our latest standout artist… Donna Raabe, our October Crafter of the Month.
Name: Donna Raabe
Where do you live?
Phoenix, Arizona USA
How would you describe your craft style?
My craft style is predominantly shabby chic, romantic including roses, lace, pearls, pink and other pastels.
What type of projects do you like to make?
I like making banners for my inherited pie safe, journals and folios, 3D flowers, and my new fav… stacked envelope projects.
What inspires your creativity?
My inspiration for creativity comes from the digitals, watching YouTube videos, seeing what people post on various Facebook groups I belong to, and occasionally Pinterest posts.
What are your ‘can’t live without’ craft essentials?
I always have my combo paper trimmer and score board, sharp scissors, corner punch, printer with ink plan, and my ever present mat to cover my workspace.
I also love to have laces, ribbons and embellishments to use on projects.
Donna’s passion for crafting extends beyond the finished product.
She’s an active member of our community, always eager to lend a helping hand, offer tips, and share her knowledge with others.
Her warm, welcoming nature is one of the reasons our community feels like home to so many.

I have followed you since we lived in AR back in the 80’s and a friend of mine from work built our first computer and we used AOL to access the internet 😆🤣😅 I have enjoyed having the use of your wonderful creations thru the years and look forward to many more years of goodies to play with in the future.
