Hello lovelies,
I’m super, SUPER excited to let you know that my website is back up and running normally (yay).
This last week after the crash has been positively horrendous and I was so overwhelmed with the amount of images and files that needed to be manually re-loaded to the website.
In all honesty, there was a moment when I thought about not even bothering.
I felt defeated… and that in part was due to other factors and this was just the last straw… but I gave myself a good talking to and pulled up those big girl panties and got on with it. Of course, it is totally worth it now!
I’m so happy to welcome you back ♥
My gift to you….

Easter is almost here and I missed posting last week, so lets ‘hop’ straight into an Easter free printable.
I’m sure you’ll find lots of uses for a couple of bunnies in amongst the dahlias.
There’s a ‘Happy Easter’ sentiment that is perfect for use on a card or tag…. or maybe a tablescape.
And a cute bunny in a pot of dahlias and Easter eggs.
You’ll notice on my image, I have cut straight across the bottom to create a flat base so I could stand my bunny up in a vignette.
Plus, there are also a few more egg and flower elements on the fussy-cut printable.

Fussy-Cutting
I often get asked about what I use to fussy-cut, so I thought I’d show you the knife I used to cut these designs today.
I absolutely adore this Tim Holtz retractable craft knife.
It features a Kushgrip handle for soft touch grip, which means it sits really comfortably in your hand, while giving you great control for precision fussy-cutting. If you are going to be cutting a few designs, you really do need a knife that has a soft grip handle.
I have a variety of knives I use for different purposes, but for fussy-cutting you need a very sharp fine blade, so a scalpel blade is perfect.
I also occasionally use scissors for fussy cutting, but a scalpel knife will always be my first go-to tool.
In my early working life… like 30 years ago (yep, now I sound old), I worked in several commercial studios where we always used scalpel knives to hand cut designs. I know we have machines that can scan and cut now and I actually do own a Silhouette…. but this old girl will continue to hand cut; it’s part of the journey on the way to the finished project and I’m in no hurry.
In other news…..
Many of you have been messaging me about my new craft room buddy… and with everything that has been going on I haven’t posted any updates.
Little Bonnie is now 11 weeks old.
I’m keeping it real here… I’d love for her to look all white, fluffy and well groomed….
But the truth is, we have a real terror on our hands!
Bonnie has two puppy speeds… full bore and asleep.
She loves to be outside and zooms around our garden. We couldn’t keep her out of the pond, so have drained it for now and have contained her to one section of our garden with puppy proof fencing to keep her away from the inground pool and hedges, where there may be pythons that would take her in a heartbeat.
On the plus side, she hasn’t been destructive or chewed anything she shouldn’t inside, so she is doing very well with craft room buddy training. So for the moment it is a combination of spurts in the craft room, outside for playing and then napping… and just like a new mother, I’m taking advantage of that nap time to get the big jobs done!
Happy crafting my friends!
Hugs
♥

Oh my! Pythons!! I wouldn’t be able to sleep!
Thank you so much for the Easter printable. As always your gifts are a treasure.
Your craft room buddy is adorable. I’m so glad you are back up and running. Many Blessings to you this Easter!
Hi Ann, we are in a semi-rural area in a sub-tropical climate, so snakes are inevitable… they love this warm climate too 😉
I hope you enjoy my Easter offerings and I wish you a blessed Easter also x
Holy cow! We worry about hawks and other predators but Pythons? Yikes!
And I love these Easter images. This will go into my Favorites folder. That for your generosity.
It’s been a hot summer and there seems to be more snakes around this year, but we’ve been worried about large birds too. She is so tiny and the perfect size for a predator, so she is never outside alone.
Please enjoy the Easter designs x
Bonnie is adorable! I know all about puppyhood and how tiring it makes us “Moms”. I do so appreciate your generosity with the freebies – I teach young ones how to sew and they love when I let them cut out one of your beautiful designs to include with the item they completed (usually a pillowcase), especially if they plan to gift it. Plus, it gives them a chance to hone their cutting and other fine motor skills. An added bonus is that the ones I display brighten up and bring a calm feeling to the sewing area.
It always makes my heart sing to know others are enjoying what I create.
I hope your little ones enjoy these Easter designs 🙂
Didn’t get a picture or purchase info for the “scalpel” you use for fussy cuts. Love this Easter gift. Many thanks!
Hi, the knife is shown in the image of the fussy-cuts and the gold writing that says ‘Tim Holtz retractable knife’ is a direct link to where I purchased it. 🙂
Happy crafting,
Kerryanne
Beautiful project. Thank you for the printables.
God bless
You are most welcome Peggy.
Happy Easter x
Yes, Happy Resurrection Day!
Hey Kerryanne,

Years ago, while cutting acetate for a colour separation at the newspaper where I worked, my Olfa knife slipped and I gave myself a deep cut on my thumb.
At the hospital, the doctor said he couldn’t have made a better cut with his scalpel.
It had to be glued closed. I have a check mark scar on that thumb to remind me.
But fussy cutting does demand the accuracy of a blade.
Bonnie is adorable. Pythons— not so much.
Thanks Kerryanne! I love your work! And your sharing of it!
Thanx for the freebie. I try to make holiday cards for the grands! Between my SO and I we have 8! It is the only mail some of these kids recieve! The bunnies will be enjoyed!
