This tale of delight began when the lovely Kris from Tag Along Teddies sent me another one of her gorgeous care packages a few weeks back. Kris has been such a good and supportive friend both before and after my surgery and never ceases to amaze me with her generosity.
Parcel opening has become such an art form for blogging families. The dutiful children and furry friends alike know full well that the parcel and contents must be photographed in the best light before even attempting to touch, fondle or devour any of the treats inside. The Princess, Miss Aimee and Gypsy perched patiently beside me on the bed to see what items had arrived in this parcel. First of all there was a very funny book by Barbara Johnson called Humor Me, which I must add has kept me in stitches. Then the squeals of delight alerted me to the other item in the bag – can you imagine the looks on their faces when they spied that humongous lollypop? Three very eager faces all licking their lips in anticipation of trying that pink confection UNTIL the wise and caring mother of the unruly brood stuck the lollypop in a vase beside her bed. There it has sat cheering me with its prettiness for the past few weeks. Everyday Miss Aimee pleaded and begged to open that lollypop. Gypsy, eyed it off very suspiciously – even she seemed to know this was something to devour and not for looks!!
After weeks of teasing finally there was a comment that broke my reserve – “Mummy, couldn’t I just open the wrapper a little bit so I can at least sniff the lollypop”. That level of desperation together with the pleading eyes finally saw that lollypop removed from my bedroom vignette.

FINALLY!!!

mmmmmm….

Okay, for most of you this photo is probably pukesville but Gypsy shares completely in our lives and while I don’t condone or recommend it, my children share their food with the dog. They have been partaking in this unfortunate practice for the past 6 years and no-one has died yet!!
So lick for lick, Miss Aimee and Gypsy are doing their best to put a dent in the side of that lollypop. How glad am I that I at least tasted the delicious lollypop before it became communal property…LOL.
Today’s tip: Enjoy the little things in life. One day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne

Kids need to get some germs, and all family members need to share in treats – my husband even has to share with the kittens (and although he moans, he does it automatically now!).
Enjoy the little things….. or the great big lollies!
What a lollipop!!!
How funny are you, just popping it on your bedside table just to gaze at….I think I would have given in to the kids before you, you must have the strongest willpower.
I’m glad Gypsy & the family are enjoying it.
Hope you are well my friend,
Sarah xxx
Wowzers that’s a lollipop! I really enjoyed your story, so glad everyone’s enjoying it 🙂
Hey Kerryanne! Tee! Hee! Hee! Who would have thought your whole family would get such entertainment from that cute lollipop that just had “Kerryanne” written all over it when I spotted it! Miss Gypsy looks sweet and sassy with her new bow and why shouldn’t she get a lick! I grew up with a dog called Smokey and he used to pinch the cheesels when we had picnics in the back yard. Oh – and a bit of trivia – dog spit is cleaner than human spit! :0) Bear Hugs & Jugs! KRIS
Oh dear you think Kris would have sent three lollipops…..or maybe she was thinking of the fun you would have tormenting your children……could be….it does look wonderful though, my children probably would have been far more impatient.

Yup, my kids know the blogging picture routine. Find Mommy’s camera, and so on….
The lollipop does look good though.
Cute sweetie and cute doggie. Love the pink bow!

Kerryanne, I loved this “sweet” and very “pink” post! Your daughter will surely have this memory for years to come which makes your tip of the day so true! Thanks for stopping by to see my furniture remix!
Hi Kerryanne
Goodness only 28 days to go!!
Kris is a darling isn’t she, I have no doubt in the world her thoughts and kindness are very much appreciated by all four of you – oh and of course plus hubby makes five –
Guss has a sensitive tummy so can’t eat anything but perscription dog food, no sweeties for him
Very pretty! And that last picture is hilarious! 😀
ha ha, I know, opening blog parcels is such a ritual. That is one fab lolly pop! Perfectly ok for Gypsy to share, she is not a real dog, just a girl with fur clothes. Bet your girls have good immune systems, my daughter has! Rachaelxo
