I’m joining bloggers from all around the globe today for The Scoops Mega Spring Link Party.
If you link up a spring project to the Link Party over the next 3 days, it will appear in the link party shown on 35 blogs…. that’s MEGA!
So why’s an Aussie girl joining in on a spring theme linky when we are just 4 days into Autumn?
Well…. spring is my favourite season.
It’s the beautiful season of wonder… when the earth wakes from her wintery rest.
Flowers bloom… bees buzz… new life emerges…
And generally, everyone is happy!
I have little touches of spring around my house all year through.
I love lots of nests and bird cages…
Although, I don’t actually like birds in cages… they need to be free.
You can see more of my French Vintage Wire Birdcage seen in these photos here or get the pattern here.
We are still enjoying the humidity and heat of summer here in my coastal town… but the first hints of autumn are looming with the sunrise getting later each morning.
I live in a part of Australia that is renown for its temperate climate with water and air temperatures generally mild during the winter months and very pleasant during summer. The climate is sub tropical with average temperatures ranging from a minimum of 8 Deg C (46.4 F) in winter to 32 Deg C (89.6 F) in the summer.
With a temperate climate there is very little change between the seasons… it’s just pleasant all year through, but when I lived in Melbourne there was a definite change from season to season.
I disliked winter with a passion, so any sign that spring was on the way made me very happy… and I guess that’s why even now, I think of spring as the happy season.
We’d love to see your spring projects and home décor, so don’t be shy.
Come on over and join the Mega Party.

I love all your Springtime creations Kerryanne. Mother Nature seems to have become a bit confused here in the UK as it seems as if we are heading back to Winter (many parts of the country have snow).
So many lovely links to this event – folks have been very creative.

I love all the ephemera! So beautiful! It must be a challenge decorating for spring in the fall–but you pulled it off beautifully!

Hey Kerryanne! I’m a summer gal at heart but spring and autumn are usually pretty nice here on top of our ‘hill’ too. Our climate is very similar to Melbourne … as you know since we compared winter chills for a few years! :0) But I do like that warm during the day/cool and fresh at night mix that comes with spring and autumn. And of course spring colour can’t be beaten. Lovely splashes of spring you’ve shared … enjoy your ‘other’ spring this season! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS
