Getting organised for Christmas isn’t difficult…
A little forward planning and making an early start is all that is needed to pace yourself for a stress free Christmas.
If you like to decorate your home, make gifts and bake, you’ll need to be making a few plans now. Nothing too over the top… just thinking ahead so you are not leaving things to the last minute.
Last week I shared a Doodle Christmas Planner. I know many of you downloaded it and have already made Christmas planners. I did however receive a few emails from people having issues with the size. If you download it to your computer it will be in A5 format. If you print directly from the Box.com site it will be a smaller A6 format…. so please, download it then print if from your own file.
Last year I shared a free vintage Christmas planner. I’ve had many enquiries about it this year from people who love vintage and want to make it again this year. It is still available for download, plus I’ve added an additional 2013 calendar page and cover page to update it. Both downloads are available HERE
Once you’ve got your card and gift lists sorted you’ll want to be thinking about decorating and baking.
How do you decorate? Do you have a theme, a style or colour combination?
Do you buy/make new decorations every year or do you keep to the same collection?
I usually stick to the same theme/colours for a few years then have a change.
This is my change year… nothing drastic, just some tweaking and paring down. I’m in a smaller house now with a different room layout, so I can’t use all the things that are in my collection of Christmas storage boxes. Time to go shopping in my own supplies and put together a new look Christmas.
Isn’t that part of the fun…. dreaming about what you’ll do and seeking some inspiration?
Do you drool over magazines and Pinterest boards like I do?
Do you have Pinterest boards for Christmas… or even a ‘secret’ Pinterest board?
What’s a secret Pinterest board?… you ask
A secret board is only visible to you and to anyone you invite to it.
When you add a pin to a secret board, it won’t show up anywhere else on Pinterest – not in the category sections, anyone’s search results, your followers’ home feed, your own home feed, or even pins or activity pages on your profile.
Your secret boards are at the bottom of your profile. Just scroll down to see them. We each have 3 secret boards.
Isn’t this perfect for secret Christmas planning!!
I hope today’s planning tips inspire you to make a start on Christmas and if you are needing some Christmas project inspiration, pop over to my Christmas Pinterest boards

Love the Vintage planner and know the very person to sent it to. Do I need an updated “Belongs To” page for 2013 or have I missed it? I don’t know where you find the time to pander to our shabby whims but am sure glad you do. xo
Mary, because you asked so nicely I have updated the old one for you. It is now on my website with the other Christmas downloads.
Missed you at craft group last night. K xx
Kerryanne, you are the best 🙂 Thank you from the bottom of my vintage Christmas loving heart. Too many early wakings caught up with me last night. Hope you had fun. I do enjoy it so. Next week, I’m there, with bells on. Christmas bells, that is. Blessings, Mary. xo
Hi Kerry-Anne,

I made your little rosette angels last year and everyone loved them. Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad they were a hit Glenda. I made lots of them too and used them on various projects. 🙂
I would like an updated cover also do you have one?
Yes I do have one Wendy and a ‘please’ is always appreciated when asking for something!
Wow! No one has ever had to say that to me. I always say please and thank you. Guess I fell off the manner wagon today. Kerryanne may I please have one of your beautifully made updated cover pages? Thank you very much. 🙂
Of course you may Wendy…. and thank you. It’s a little word but highly appreciated when one spends hours producing free graphics for others to enjoy 🙂
Hope you found the link okay on the Simply Christmas webpage – http://www.woodberrydesigns.com.au/SimplyChristmas.htm
