Dear friend,
Don’t think of this card as a note…
Think of it as my arms around you… holding you tight!
And the buttons on the front are because I know how much you love adding buttons to your crafting supplies.
Hugs from me xx
Last week I shared my handmade button cards and free printable with you.
They were fun to make and I have a few projects underway using them.
This first project was a simple one… attaching the button cards to greeting cards to send to my crafty friends.
Sometimes you just want to say ‘Hi’ or ‘thank you’.
In this age of technology, when everything is electronic, it’s nice to receive a card from a friend in the post… or discover a secret note left by a friend.
This one is like a book mark with pretty buttons sewn on.
It could be slipped into a card or gift or attached like a gift card.
I decorated the front of these cards with pretty scrapbooking paper from the Tilda Collection, then attached the button cards with foam dots, so the button cards can be removed later.
Alternatively, a sleeve could be made on the front of the card to slip the button card into.
I’ll be back in a couple of days to show you another button card project I’ve just made.
Happy crafting sweet friends!!
Hugs
♥

Those are adorable! I love getting cards but unfortualtely you are right, no one really sends things by the Post anymore. Maybe we can start a new, old trend!

Those are right down my alley, I love buttons and cards.
I still mail several cards out to friends and family for birthdays and special occasions

I’m glad some of us still use the old snail mail. I like to receive surprise letters and cards in the mail that you can actually hold and open, rather than electronic mail. 🙂
Yvonne says
Is there a pdf for the other button cards? I can’t seem to find more than just the one PDF/ button card type. 🙂 Thank you. These are so lovely.
Kerryanne says
I’m not sure what you are asking for Yvonne? There is a printable page with both button cards on it. The PDF is available in 2 sizes; Letter size for the US and A4 for the rest of the world. The other vintage button card that is shown has a link to the blog post for that printable also. If I’ve not answered your question, please don’t hesitate to email me.
Happy crafting,
Kerryanne

These are gorgeous but I can’t find the free printable for the pink and blue ones. The link from the post before only gives the other button cards with the oval shape. Can you help me please? Thank you 😊

Hi Lisa,
This is a blog post from nearly 8 years ago, so some links may have changed during that time, but you can always find all of my free printables on my ‘Tutorial’ page. The link is in the navigation bar at the top of my website.
Here’s the link to the cards you are looking for – https://www.shabbyartboutique.com/2019/03/shabby-chic-button-card-printables.html
