They say the Rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain… but here on the mid north coast yesterday, it fell from the sky in a torrential torrent over my studio.
Normally I don’t mind rain and I actually quite enjoy the sound of it pitter pattering on my roof. What I don’t like is when it comes down so heavy and fast that it floods my studio….. gggrrrrr!!!
Luckily I had headed the weather bureau’s warning for storms and flash flooding so had moved all items from the floor up onto my classroom tables. Unfortunately, the towels I lay down on the floor did little to prevent the inundation of water under the door. So a mop up was needed late last night.
The rain has continued to fall heavily today but the storms have passed. Thankfully we didn’t get hit with the tornado that hit further up at Lennox Heads – that would have been far worse.
Hopefully the only rain drops I have to deal with over the weekend are the painted kind.

Oh how annoying! I was thinking of you yesterday with that scary Tornado thingy…one of my biggest fears, I could never be a storm chaser…I am a storm hider!

Oh yuck. We have had flooding in our house twice since we moved in 6 years ago. Both times in my craft area. Definitely is no fun. Hope it will be clear skies this weekend.

okay, i’m not thrilled that your studio was compromised with water yesterday! but the inspired rain drops on the printed book paper,,,now that is clever, gorgeous, amazing! i love it! what a beautiful effect!
it poured here too…like a rainforest…but it was kind of pretty to listen to..!
