Well, it is Autumn in Melbourne and already the weather has turned bitterly cold – I hate cold weather!!!! Time for me to go into hibernation.
The only good thing about cold weather is it is perfect for snuggling up in a warm studio spending the days painting, which is exactly what I have been doing this past week.
The canvas is a commission for a magazine project. They wanted something pretty, shabby and sweet with teacups. The painted gingham border was something new I tried and it came out okay.

Sometimes just the silliest things can bring a smile to your face. Is this not the stupidest (but adorable) dog you have ever seen. When I work on the computer Gypsy comes up and sits on the day bed beside me. Today she is reclining with one leg cocked up like she is waiting for a tummy rub with this ridiculous look on her face. Sometimes I sit and wonder – ‘what goes through her mind’?
Back to the studio now……..oh….I am having a pink cupcake kind of day today.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
Hey Kerryanne! I’m with you on the cold! I joke that I’m like my bears and that winter is hibernation time! Tee! Hee! Hee! Looooove the gingham border and LOOOOOVE the green vintage pieces! Don’t suppose there’s any that combine the gorgeous sage green with cupcakes???? Gypsy reminds me of those old fashioned hollywood centrefolds where the starlett would be reclining on a chase lounge and giving the camera a sultry look – even her name would be perfect for the Hollywood ‘floozy’!! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)
Hi Kerryanne,
It seems that we are all heading into hibernation even me here in Perth but at least you are super productive… Hibernating for you means getting busy in the studio. I love what you did with the cups and roses and all of the other vintage platters. Super duper clever. And doesn’t Gypsy look so cute lazing in her best pose 🙂
P.s: yeah keeping secrets aint fun I know, well thank you for the well wishes and wish me luck as it progresses 🙂
Hugs, Adla
Kris, your wish is my command – cupcakes on a sage green background – actually it is already done. The studio is full and now the vintage pieces have taken up residence in my dining room in the house. You wouldn’t believe how many pretties there are. I just need a day or two to photograph all of them and upload them to the shopping cart on the website. Stay tuned it shouldn’t be too long.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
What a gorgeous shade of green you have used Kerryanne

Yes Kerryanne it has turned so so cold here in Melbourne, I felt the same today, turned the heater on and created!
Ooooooh! Green and cupcakes! Goody, goody, goody!!!! Now rubbing hands together gleefully and wondering where to get more play money after a full day at Stitches and Craft – where lots of fabric followed me home! Tee! Hee! Hee! Looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful pretties – the suspense may kill me tho!!! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)
