Do I have a treat for you!!
If you popped by today for a decorating tutorial or tips on making handmade gifts. . . you won’t see either of those. . . but you’ll find them on my Tutorials page.
Those of you here for the House Tour. . . ‘Hi, nice to meet you’. . . but that was last week, so you’ll have to click HERE to see that.
Soooo. . . that leaves YOU.
Are you ready for a yummy, scrummy, melt in the mouth, chocolaty treat?
This is not a Christmas pudding!
It’s a feel good treat. . . a yummy chocolate cake in a mug kind of treat.
Why?
Well, if like me you spent too long looking for a car park. . . just to run into the shops to get 3 things, then spent another hour trying to get served and get back to your car . . . you might want a feel good yummy chocolaty treat too!!
It’s the perfect pick-me-up after hectic Christmas shopping.
So here’s my. . . 5 minute Chocolate Mug Cake.
Seriously, that’s all it takes. . . 5 minutes!!
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
- A small splash of good vanilla
- 1 large coffee mug
Method:
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (optional) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!
Allow to cool for a few minutes, turn out onto a plate if desired.
Eat with cream, ice cream or your favourite cake sauce. . . I topped mine with cream and crushed candy cane.
This is the most dangerous cake recipe in the world, because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate mud mug cake at any time of the day or night!
You are going to print this out straight away, aren’t you?
I’m sharing my sinful 5 minute indulgence at this week’s link parties and with these friends: French Country Cottage, The Vintage Farmhouse, 36th Avenue, Clean and Scentsible, Live Laugh Rowe, The DIY Dreamer, Transformation Thursday, At The Picket Fence, Nifty Thrifty Sunday, Common Ground Vintage Inspirations and Tutorials & Tips Link party.
