Can you hear that?
No!
Me neither.
You know what it is ~
Quite deafening isn’t it. I think I can actually hear my own thought process. Amazing!!
It’s been a week since we sent our darling children back to school but it has taken me that long to get back to my normal routine. Oh how I love that routine!!
Sooooooooooo…. the kids are settled back at school, the house has been reclaimed, cleaned and put back in order. The new studio classroom is open and classes have commenced. Market prep work was completed last week. All boxes ticked.
Finally today, ensconced in the quiet calm of my studio, surrounded by all that inspires me……. I have taken down THAT box. You know the one – it has the label ‘Current Projects’.
With all that has been going on here I had to put my new projects on hold for a bit – admittedly, a bit longer than I had anticipated.
Opening that box and rediscovering my projects is very exciting. Sometimes a break is a good thing, for it allows us to mull over ideas, expand them and come back with renewed enthusiasm. That’s how I feel today…. inspired, excited and raring to go.
Now if you don’t see or hear from me for the next week, don’t be concerned –

Hi Kerryanne,
Wow, I must have missed your last post…your studio is just amazing. From the photo’s you have shown here, it’s no wonder that you & your ‘students’ are enjoying the new studio. I am loving everything, but the chair with the black & white checked seat just made me smile from ear to ear.
I too am enjoying the kids being back at school…unfortunatly I work school hours so no time at home by myself, but at least I’m home by 3.10, so I have the rest of the arvo to to pretty much do as I please.
Have fun with all your creativity! I will be back soon to check out what you have been up to.

P.S: I think I just wrote a mini novel!!!

Hi Kerryanne,
I have to admit to having a bit of an envious moment when I read your last post, your new studio and classroom are magnificent and I am sure you and your students will have lots of fun times there. It is great to get the kids back to school and not have to worry about “I’m hungry” every five minutes.

Hi Kerryanne,
Ah, I can see your happy face, now that you and the girls are back into routine.
This would normally be a catch up time for us as well, how I miss our chats face to face!
Waiting to see the new creations coming out from “Opal by the Sea”

oh kerryanne that sounds so good. my decision to be a stay at home mum couldnt come soon enough. i love a clean and ordered house, but what i am liking right now is having no pressure about planning for my day and week ahead in a classroom. that was just all too much for me at this point in my life.
i am looking forward to going to my girls assembly tomorrow and watching my middle child receive an award, something i would have missed if i had been working. lifes simple pleasures. and of course the smile on her face seeing me there!
big smooches to you and wowzer that painting is sweet.

Hi girl, just popping in to say hi!!! Sounds like all is going great with your new home and studio. I was always terribly slow at settling into new areas (husband ex navy) so you are doing a much better job than I! Loving your new art works too.
