Hi shabbilicious friends,
I always seem to be popping in with projects and DIY’s, so I thought I’d do a regular coffee and chat date with you here on the blog…
You know, so I can keep you up to date on all the ‘little things’ that don’t warrant a post of their own, but still good to know.
So grab your cuppa and get cosy!!
First up, I received a Tilda delivery a few days ago. It’s the new collection.
Picture a summer evening on a rustic porch or a barn dance, homemade pie, fresh berries and whipped cream.
These images were what inspired Tone Finnanger to design The Candy Bloom collection. It’s an energetic, vibrant series with cute red and blue folklore inspired patterns that inspire thoughts of glorious countryside living and is perfect for summer.
This is a limited edition collection, which means I can’t re-order, so when it goes…. yeah, it’s gone!
I know many of my readers love the blues and reds, so I grabbed a few of the 9 piece fat quarter bundles too.
The Candy Bloom collection is now in my Tilda Boutique.
The lovely folk at Tilda have also released a free quilt pattern for the flag garland quilt called ‘The Candy Bloom Quilt’. The pattern is available here. Isn’t it gorgeous!
So…. while we are having a casual coffee and chat, I thought it would be a good time to tell you about some of the businesses I work with.
As a blogger, companies often send me new creative products to try and I also work with a few as an affiliate. What that means, is I may get a small commission if you follow a link on my page and make a purchase from them.
Now, we are not talking much, usually cents…. so it won’t make me rich, but it does help me buy crafty supplies to use for blog projects… which I give back to you as free projects.
Here’s the important part though, please know I will never recommend a product that I don’t like or wouldn’t use myself. I’m not driven by money to just recommend anything… I would never do that to my friends!!
That being said, I am in a position to hear about fabulous deals, sales and new products, so I will always pass those on to you. Many of them are not affiliates, so I get absolutely nothing out of it except passing on a good deal to a girlfriend.
So that brings me to a few I can tell you about today.
I’ve been an affiliate of Craftsy for awhile now and I’m currently doing one of their online courses (which I’ll be sharing with you soon). Craftsy offer hundreds of online classes in quilting, sewing, knitting, cake decorating, art, photography, cooking and many more categories, plus they sell kits and supplies.
They currently have an amazing 50% off sale on all of their online courses, which is such a bargain and one not to be missed. It is only available for a few days, so don’t miss this great opportunity to try a new technique or learn a new craft.
You’ll have to hurry though, because this offer ends 6/13 at 11:59 pm MDT
Check out the Craftsy Sale HERE <<—— affiliate link
Another company I work closely with is Creativebug Inc. They too offer amazing online creative classes.
One of the new classes is by blogger Pam Garrison… a fabulous mixed media artist and journal maker. You may already know Pam’s blog. The course is all about creative doodling.
If you’ve read my eBook Embracing the Passion or participated in my online course of the same name, you’ll know how much I value doodling for building creativity and inspiration. Doodling is exercise for creative people!
I doodle every day in my own art journal. We haven’t talked about journaling here for awhile, so maybe that’s something I can share with you in the coming weeks too.
Happy crafting,
Hugs ~ Kerryanne

Have never made A quilt but have to say think it’s going to be this one this coming Winter. That garland quilt is calling me, really grabbed my heart.
Will wait for Winter as Summer has so many distractions for me. It’s also hotter than dickens in my sewing room in summer. Still need to get it habitable for serious sewing so having that adorable quilt to make will be nudge I need. I so love your blog Kerryanne. Think have told you that before? Just something you love really sings in my heart. Now am going to go find that delightful quilt pattern. Wish could use the new Tilda fabric.
Have wonderful week and thank you for sharing all you do.

Isn’t it a lovely quilt design JaneEllen!! I too would like to tackle this one… which is dangerous because I have the fabric, but sadly not the time right now. If you do make i tin the summer, please share it with me. Hugs to you xx

How lovely to sit down and have a ‘chat’.
The fabric and that quilt are wonderful but I really must not start on another craft – I’ll end up living in the shed to make room for all my craft stuff LOL. Last year “Adult colouring” was all the rage here and it seems to have become big business. I must admit that I bought a few colouring books and some of them have quite a bit of ‘white-space’ with the printed designs so they are super for adding doodles.
Enjoy your on-line classes Kerryanne.

Can totally relate Toni. Creative people are drawn to so many different activities and we must sometimes show restraint… I’ve not quite mastered this yet – lol.
Hugs to you my friend xx

Thanks for sharing Tilda. I love the banner quilt and may look through my stash and our shops to see if I can get the look. Someday her fabrics may be in our shops.
I love Craftsy and just bought a new class the other week. I didn’t realize you were a partner.
Thanks for everything you share, Kerryanne
