Can you guess what is happening in 99 days?
Here’s a clue. . .
Andy Williams once sang. . . “It’s the most wonderful time of year”
Yes . . . in just 99 days it will be Christmas day.
I don’t know if it is just me, but I always feel like once we drop below 100 days the countdown feels like it speeds up.
I don’t expect you to be worrying just yet about Christmas planning and list making, but for me there is so much prep to do with 3 major Christmas projects on the go.
[Vintage Christmas Planner by Shabby Art Boutique 2012]
The first is my new ‘White Christmas’ collection of patterns for Christmas 2013. I’ve been painting up a storm in my new studio and trying to get patterns written and ready for release. When I get a chance to catch my breath I’ll share the photos of the new studio space.
Meanwhile, if you are keen to get a start on creating for Christmas, you can check out my 2012 Christmas Collection of patterns in the Boutique.
The second big event is the bumper Christmas issue of Simply Shabbilicious magazine.
Ohhhh….. I’m almost bursting with delight and can’t wait to share this one with you. Just wait to you see who is sharing their gorgeous Christmas homes and decorating ideas. I promise you’ll be in ‘shabbilicious’ heaven. There are also great crating tutorials, yummy Yule time recipes and a must have handmade shopping guide.
The third big event in the planning is my annual Simply Christmas event, which runs for 8 weeks . . . starting on November 1st and running through to Christmas Eve.
It’s all about putting the homemade and home baked back into the holidays. . . with lots of freebies, excellent tutorials, recipes and guest posters.
We’ve had so much fun with it in previous years and the line up for it this year is just as good. I’ve already had emails asking if there will be a new Christmas planner this year and I’m pleased to say that this is one project that is almost completed….. just a little tweaking left.
I hope you’ll join me in putting homemade and home baked back into Christmas!!
I have a confession. . . I’ve already listened to a few Christmas carols on the sly… you know, just to get me in the mood for designing Christmas patterns. Nothing like a bit of Bing to get you in the festive mood.
All in all, it’s a very busy period from now until Christmas and the countdown is on!
EEK! It can’t be that close… where did summer go?
Love that wreath!
Happy Monday!
Oh Kerryanne, less than 100 days…where did 2013 go to?
The winter whites/book print/blue colours were fabulous last year and you know I will be one of the first in line for the 2013 Christmas Planner. Christmas carols…I don’t need to play any as I’ve now got Andy Williams singing away in my head ‘ giggle’.
At least I’ve made a start on my Christmas cards.
Toni xx
Oh, I love this time of the year – and I am looking forward to all the lovely things on your site 🙂
Ha Ha Kerryanne. It will go quickly. I actually have been thinking about what I am going to do this year for Christmas decor. I know it is crazy but I love to start at this time of year to plan out what I will do. I bet the Shabbilious Christmas Magazine will be full of inspiration.

Bring it on, I say. Can’t wait to go ‘merrily’ on my way with Christmas decorating and crafting. Especially looking forward to the Yuletide treats you have in store for us. You do spoil us so. Blessings to you. xo
I’m new to your blog and, yes, I’ve subscribed, and can’t get over how generous you are in the things you share. I feel like I’ve fallen into a soft cozy cloud of deliciousness. I am now a devoted fan. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and this year we will be in our new house in time to decorate. I look forward to your instructions on how to decorate. BTW…my office will be totally shabby chic. Thank you again for sharing your talent.
Hey Kerryanne! NO!! Not listening … La! La! La! :0) I am firmly in denial about how quickly the year is flying by and how soon Christms will be upon us … in fact … I’m not sure that I’m ready for LAST Christmas yet!! On the other hand … can’t wait to see all your Christmas pretties, so I’ll have to find the middle ground between being in denial and looking forward to it … what a dilemma!! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS
PS. will email this arvo re Christmas Shabbiliciousness!!
can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with this year, kerryanne! xmas can never start early enough for me:)
I love Christmas also and as a crafter I’ve been working of Christmas items since July! I recently added a count down widget to my blog to start getting my new blog in the Christmas mood. Love your blog and look forward to participating in your link party tomorrow. Blessings!
