The Haven Conference has been and gone and I’m sure there are many bloggers out there who are feeling excited and inspired by their amazing weekend get together.
Sadly, I was not there . . . [sigh]
But that’s okay, because while the Haven attendees are recuperating after their big weekend, a group of 24 DIY bloggers have got together to bring you the ‘Getting Creative at Home’ blog tour this week.
Each day we’ll have five inspiring blogs sharing their favourite projects and next Monday, August 12, we’ll post a round-up of all the great projects for you to see on one page.
On Day One we visited the following blogs:
The Crafty Woman
Colors Mixed Together
I’m thrilled to be joining the ‘Getting Creative at Home’ blog tour on Day Two and having the opportunity to share my favourite project with you.
I went through my archives and debated on my favourites. . . there were plenty of furniture transformations and the odd room make-over, but in the end I settled on a project that is a work of heart.
While it’s definitely DIY and home themed, it is probably a little different to the others on the tour. This is a project of mine that has been on the drawing board for a long time and finally came together in 2013. . .
My magazine Simply Shabbilicious gives me the opportunity to bring together amazing home tours, inspiring creative spaces and DIY projects that fit the theme ‘shabbilicious’.
It embodies everything from pretty romantic cottage, shabby chic, coastal chic, farmhouse living to vintage and French inspired.
It’s not just a decorating style. . . it’s a lifestyle and it embraces all that is shabby, time-worn, rusty and pre-loved. . . . it’s Simply shabbilicious.
Earlier this year I finally turned my dream into a reality with Issue 1.
Since then it has been a huge learning curve for me and I feel that it improves and grows with every issue.
Issue 2 came out in May and the readership swelled. . .
It takes a lot of people to put this together and I’m indebted to the wonderful contributors who freely share their beautiful homes in the magazine.
Issue 3 comes out next week and I’m thrilled to say that it will be available as not only a free digital read, but also has the option to download or purchase as a printed magazine.
Issue 3 – coming soon
