This week I’ve been working on creating a collection of postcards and greeting cards to build up my stockpile again.
I like to have a box filled with cards, so when an occasion arises and I need to pop ‘a little something’ in the post, I can simply pull out a ready made card.
There are some of us that still appreciate a handmade card on a gift or receiving an unexpected surprise letter in the post.
You can call me old fashioned…. I don’t care how advanced technology is, I still prefer opening a pretty handmade card to opening an email.
So today I designed this vintage postcard that has both a front and back panel.
I created it as one graphic, so you can simply print out on card or photographic paper, trim to size, score the centre line and then fold in half.
This will give you a double sided postcard. Simply apply a bead of glue around the perimeter of the inside of the card to glue the front to the back panel.
The finished size is 15cm wide x 10 cm high (6” x 4”).
Download the free printable here.
There are many options for using this in your crafts. I’m using it as a gift tag, but I’ve printed off another one to mount on balsa wood for a hanging postcard. I’ll share that with you in my next post.
I’d love to see how you use the vintage bird postcard, so please feel free to share on my weekly link party Create, Bake, Grow & Gather.
Happy crafting
♥
