After the craziness that was 2016 and my period of retreat for the month of January, I’ve discovered a new ‘me’… or perhaps I’ve just entered a new season of life!
My energy levels are soaring and my creativity has been renewed.
Taking time to stop, b-r-e-a-t-h-e and listen to my soul whispers has allowed me to re-evaluate what I want to do in my creative world.
This year is my tenth year of blogging and reflecting back on that decade, my blog has grown, changed and evolved a lot over the years. I’m looking to make some further changes this year and I hope you’ll come along for the ride with me.
There’s going to be a few changes happening for Shabby Art Boutique blog and for my Woodberry Designs business in 2017…. and it feels very exciting!!
Firstly, I’m closing down my Woodberry Designs website in a few weeks.
All my pattern packets are finally being retired, so if you want any of them, grab them now.
All other printables and tutorial templates will be moved across to this blog/website.
Next on my list… new stock to sell.
My GreenGate stockist only receives shipments twice a year now, so I will restock later in the year and will sell it from my Shabby Art Boutique blog.
Tilda are no longer making papercraft and embellishments, which is really sad, but I will still stock some of their beautiful fabrics. I’m on the lookout for new products that are similar in style and hope to be able to put together a new collection of shabby cottage pretties for you for the latter half of the year.
I’m being totally true to my heart this year and creating what speaks to me. Maybe it will be out of sync with others, or the seasons, but it will be created with passion…. and that’s more important in my book.
My focus in 2017 is immersing myself in homemade living… whether that is homemade crafts, home baked or home grown.
I like my life to be simple and… well, ‘homely’. I’m sure by now you already know that I’m an old fashioned apron wearing girl. I like to bake from scratch, make and craft everything by hand and I love, love, love home grown vegies and flowers from my own garden.
With my focus now firmly on homemade, I’ve decided to revamp my Friday link party and my magazine too!
Starting this Friday, I’ll be running a weekly share party where you can share all things homemade, home baked, home grown and gathered.
Let’s rock homemade together!!
If you’ve got projects you’ve made my hand, designed, baked or grown, this is the perfect place to share it with others…. and what about the gathered? Creative folk love to gather too, so don’t forget to share all your gorgeous thrifted, collected vintage, up-cycled and made-over projects as well.
Finally, I want to get back to producing my magazine this year and I believe it will tie in perfectly with my ‘Create, Bake, Grow and Gather’ party.
I’m imagining a wonderful ‘homemade’ magazine with creative projects, interviews with clever creatives…. and what a fun way to also share fabulous party features with links back to the bloggers post for instructions. I can’t wait to get my creative juices flowing on this project!
There’s a few ‘secret’ projects underway too…. but I’ll keep those surprises for another day.
Don’t forget, if you want to grab one of my pattern packets before they are retired, click this link to visit my Woodberry Designs Pattern Boutique.
Happy crafting my friends,
Hugs – Kerryanne

Congrats on your decision Kerryanne! My blogging days are coming to an end and ever since I made that decision, my energy and creativity has risen tenfold. Sometimes you just have to figure out what it is that drags you down before you can move on. So pleased for you!

So happy for you Kerryanne. We only get one life and it can’t be lived for what others want. You need to do what makes you feel best.. Your time away was well spent, good for you. Can hardly wait to see what you’ll be doing, I too love homely, it’s real.
We lived in San Diego, CA areas for 21 yrs. Altho there was much I loved there, too many of people were “phony”. I knew I had to get out of there, away from phony. Too many judged person for what they wore, car they drove, where they lived, just got so sick of keeping how I felt about so much to myself.
When we moved to MT it was so refreshing, people liked a person for how they were not what they had. I was so happy there. Then when we moved to KY people didn’t like somebody cause they weren’t like them, hadn’t lived there all their lives. Maybe it was just area where we lived,. Hope so. Was lucky to meet some people who didn’t have that attitude. There was a lot there I really enjoyed but always feeling like was an outsider wasn’t conducive to being happy as could be. Our mistake was moving away from MT, miss it still so much.
Due to our ages (according to my hubs) we’re getting bit long in the tooth to be moving again but if we could I would move to either Tucson, AZ or MT again. Except we most likely wouldn’t have what we did before. .At least if we moved to Tucson would be quick trip to see oldest son and his boy who live in San Diego area. Also have very good friends in Tucson and a niece.
Well time to move on, sorry for rambling. Have wonderful week.

Can hardly wait to share with you! I love everything “homely” too.. homemade is the best and homegrown, home cooked, and well.. just home. Enjoy your new energies!
