Whilst I’ve been enjoying self isolation in my craft room this week, I decided to devote some time to swapping out the décor for something a little brighter, fresher and uplifting.
An attempt to create a joyful space that would invigorate my mood, boost my creativity and carry me calmly through the challenges of the coming weeks.
So out came my Easter storage box filled with all kinds of pastel pretties, fabric eggs and sweet bunnies.
In fact… there were all kinds of handmade bunnies!
Big ones, small ones…. some hand painted, others hand sewn.
Fabric bunnies, paper bunnies…. lots and lots of adorable bunnies.
Did you know that a group of bunnies is called a fluffle?
I wonder how many bunnies you need to have your very own fluffle?
Hmm… I’m pretty sure that my craft room has enough sweet bunnies to claim them as a fluffle of bunnies… which really does sound kind of cute! They are literally popping out of every nook and cranny.
I guess I’ve been making bunnies in various forms for many, many years.
Some of my favourites are made with hand painted fabric and then there’s my Blossom bunnies (above), which I have a free sewing pattern for HERE.
There are Tilda bunnies too, plus a few printed paper bunnies from my Handmade Club Easter kits…
Which makes for a whole lot of bunnies… that collectively make me smile.
When I was making this extra large loaded pocket tag to hang at the craft room door, finding a word for the front was easy.
JOYFUL was exactly how I was feeling.
There’s joy in being surrounded by all my shabby pretties and even greater joy in being safe and well at home.
I love this sweet teacup bunny. She was part of the February Handmade Club kit.
If you are not a member of the Handmade Club, I have something for you too.
Subscribers to my newsletter get access to my free printables page and I’ve added a new Easter freebie…..
It’s a shabby, vintage Easter Bingo card, which could be used in your Easter decorating, for journal making, or as a tag or handmade card.

A lovely way to start my day, thank you Kerryanne ?? I can’t help but swoon over your sweet tea cup bunny, which brings heartfelt memories of treasured time spent with you over a cuppa, our shared love of handmade happiness, and at the same time pandering to my love of shabby vintage. It must be an utter delight to be in your craft room. And there’s never been a better time than now to be in a happy, shabby place. Enjoy your gorgeous fluffle, my dear friend. ? xoxo

I have wonderful memories of our ‘cuppa’ dates Mary… and we never ran out of things to talk about!!
I certainly wish you could take a cuppa with me in the new craft room, but sadly distance and these strange times we find ourselves in won’t allow for that, so we’ll have to suffice with an online chat while sipping our tea.
I’m certainly happy spending my days in my craft room, keeping my hands busy whilst social distancing.
Stay safe my beautiful friend xxx

I’ve never heard of a “fluffle” before. Hehe.
Kerryanne says
It’s an unusual word Alexandra, but doesn’t it sound so perfect for a group of fluffy bunnies. 🙂
