I’ve been cleaning up and re-organizing my creative space this past couple of weeks.
You may remember my post a few weeks ago about the great ‘Craftermath’?
… oh believe me, that mess left behind after some major crafting projects was horrendous.
Honestly, I actually had a path cleared through the middle of the room to the desk…
which was quite useless anyway because it was covered in crafting supplies!
The only way to create order again was to take as much of it out of the room and start over.
So in the midst of sorting and putting away, I decided that some things needed to be moved around.
It made sense to store items I use frequently in an easily accessible place.
But that created a new situation….
When you move one thing, another has to follow and before you know it, you’ve completely changed everything.
This unit is part of my Tilda storage for the Boutique.
I’m waiting on a delivery, so it’s a little low on stock right now.
The sliding cupboard door next to it has a sweet patchwork made with papers from the Tilda Country Escape paper pad.
The colours are so serene… pretty pastel coordinating pinks and soft aquas.
These beautiful Tilda fabrics are sold as fat quarters and the storage box is one of the new items in the Tilda Corner Shop collection.
I love how pretty and inspiring they look all lined up in a row.
The walls of my craft room were already painted this soft pale aqua when we moved here.
I decided to keep it, as it was such a lovely change from my 2 previous studios, which were white….
I think this colour creates a calm and relaxed atmosphere in here.
I enjoy having beautiful vignettes and open storage around me when I create…
It definitely helps the creative process.
As you see more of my studio you will notice I have lots of positive affirmations around the room.
I believe strongly in promoting positive energy… especially for a creative environment.
Well, that’s just one little corner of my craft room.
I look forward to sharing more of my creative space with you each day this week.
I’ll be sharing my creative space with these friends this week:

Thanks Lynn. I’m so glad I kept the original wall colour now. I wasn’t sure at first because I’ve always had white studios to reflect the light, but this colour benefits in other ways. 🙂

How lovely your space is. I so love those soft colours. I have some sliding doors in my sewing room and would love to transform them like you have.

Jeanette Ann the patchwork door was easy to do, but I did remove it and work on it laying flat.
Good luck if you decide to make your own 🙂

WOW!! I have to agree with you on the calmness with the aqua colored. Your space is so organized… Clean.. So pretty..
Kerryanne says
I once read Michelle that blue is the most calming colour to paint on your walls, and I think I might have found the exact shade that promotes calmness 🙂
Thanks for visiting.

Hi,
I was windering if you run classes. Did you use to be in Ringwood?
Regards,
Paula
Kerryanne says
Hi Paula,
Yes, I used to live in Warranwood. I no longer run classes as we are too busy with our business, but probably will again when we move on from here at some point. 🙂
