For several weeks a pair of calico bunnies sat lifeless on my studio desk.
Their arms and legs were unattached…
Their ears lay limp and crumpled.
Then finally I had some free time to make then whole…
But try as I might, I never seem able to follow someone else’s pattern.
I’ve made these Tilda bunnies from the Tilda Crafting Springtime Gifts book several times over the years…
And as much as I love the Tilda designs, I knew I wanted something MORE for my newest bunnies.
They needed some character…
So out came my paints and brushes.
And slowly they came to life with beautiful hand painted eyes and soft pink noses…
Delicate downy snouts and fluffy blushed ears.
They are quite a gorgeous pair now…
Sitting on my shelf amongst the roses…
In their white linen dresses with mother of pearl buttons.
I love the little hint of colour they add to my white on white kitchen décor…
So, I think they’ll be hanging out there long after Easter has been and gone.

I’m in love with your beautiful bunnies.. I collect all kinds of bunnies and made some cloth ones years a go but they sit with out and detail.
You have given me a reason to finish them now.. Thank you for sharing… You did a beautiful job of painting them. Hope I can do as well..
So sweet! And so much detail. Thanks for sharing Kerryanne 🙂
Pinned .
They are so beautiful, you have put life in them with your talent with paint. Thank you for sharing them with us. They are a treasure for sure.
They make an absolutely gorgeous couple. Beautifullly done.
These bunnies are so precious and really pretty. Love them!
Precious little works of art! you can just see their personalities coming through!
Thanks Debra and I agree. Every time I walk past the bunnies I can see the little differences in their faces… so they kind of do have their own personalities.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne

Thank you Silvina 🙂
Soooo adorable!!!!!!!! What kind of paint did you use? Was it fabric paint or did you use acrylic paint? <3
Thanks Maria, I use artist quality acrylic paints. If it was an item that was intended to be washed I would add textile medium to the acrylics. 🙂
Magnifique!
These are beautiful, so much personality! WoW!

KerryAnn,
Those are the loveliest bunnies. Do you craft any for purchase? I’m not a crafter, but I am a bunny collector. They are absolutely gorgeous .
I too would love these but do not have the talent to do them.
Oh KerryAnne, what an amazing artist you are. These bunnies are so beautiful!!!
Oh to have such talent! Their eyes are beautiful, looks as though you could feel their fur.
Oh that is so sweet of you Nancy…. thank you!!
