It’s that time of year when my thoughts turn to baking.
Do you have special things that you only make at Christmas?
We do… and I love that at Christmas we are a family that bakes together.
Having everyone in the kitchen laughing and taste testing signifies that Christmas day is not far away… and it always makes me so happy to fill everyone’s tummies up with delicious goodies!
We also make to give to others, so this year I made a sweet vintage tag to tie onto our bags of home baked yumminess.
There’s ample room at the bottom of the tag to write a message, list ingredients or what the item is.
To download the tag, simply click to open full size in another window. Right click and choose ‘save as’ from the options. Then you can save it to your own computer.
To print, add graphic to a word document and print onto card or matt photo paper. Cut tags out using a sharp craft knife or scissors.
Looking for some ideas for edible gifts?
Here’s a few I’ve made in the past… Hand Painted Wreath Sugar Cookies
And my all time favourite… Tim Tam Balls
See below for recipe!
Tim Tam or Mint Slice Balls/Pops
200gm packet of Arnott’s Tim Tams or Mint Slice biscuits (available in Australia),
80 gms of Philadelphia Cream Cheese,
good quality cooking chocolate.
To make the pops, you simply crush the packet of biscuits in a food processor. Add the 80 gms of cream cheese and mix until combined. Roll balls (about 1 tablespoon each) from mixture and pop in the fridge for a bit to firm. Insert sticks in top of pop using a little bit of melted chocolate, then dip balls in melted chocolate. I sometimes sprinkle with candy balls, crushed biscuit or even crushed candy cane.
[pin for later]
Lucky we know that Christmas calories don’t count!!!

Thank you for this lovely tag Kerryanne. I have a friend who bakes so I think I’ll make her a batch of tags to use on her yummy creations. ?It will make an extra stocking filler that will be very useful.
Thank you
Toni xx
