With Mother’s Day just around the corner I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking about handmade gifts.
I’ve always gifted my mother with something handmade for Mother’s Day. . . and I encourage my own children to carry on this tradition.
To me, a handmade gift comes from the heart.
This little lady is my handmade Mother’s Day gift. . .
We all know that ‘Mother’s are real angels’. . . and angels are the inspiration for this Tilda inspired project.
It’s not an entirely new design. . .
You may recognise her from a few years ago when she evolved as a pincushion doll that was part of a sewing room trio.
I brought her out of retirement and gave her a new ‘angelic’ look with Tilda hair and wings and a lovely neutral vintage colour palette.
But she is equally as beautiful in pretty coloured fabrics too!
The practical but pretty Pincushion Angel is available for a limited time as an E-pattern in my Boutique.
She’s a straightforward pattern that you can make up in an afternoon. . .
And wouldn’t every mother or grandmother appreciate a little angel love in their sewing room.
For this and other great Mother’s day designs, visit my Craft Room pattern page of the Boutique at Woodberry Designs.
I’m sharing my angel at this week’s link parties and with these friends: French Country Cottage, The Vintage Farmhouse, 36th Avenue, Clean and Scentsible, Live Laugh Rowe, The DIY Dreamer, Tutorials, Tips & Tidbits – Stone Gable, Blissful White Wednesday at Timewashed, Transformation Thursday, Be Inspired Friday at Common Ground.
