It’s that time of year again when crafters start planning and preparing for the Christmas season.
The weeks are counting down now and I know personally, there are more handmade projects on my To-Do list than are even possible, but I’ll endeavour to make as many as I can.
I’ve already started work on some new fabric and painting E-patterns for Christmas 2016 and will be making them available here over the next few weeks.
Of course, I will also have my free projects running right throughout my 7th annual ‘Simply Christmas’ which begins on November 1st.
Today I’m sharing a few of my ‘shabbilicious’ Christmas E-patterns, which can be purchased right here on my blog.
E-patterns are sent to you via email as a .pdf file. All patterns contain full sized template drawings and step-by-step instructions, materials and colour photos.
Shabby Vintage Santa’s
The Shabby Vintage Santa designs incorporate both paper craft and painting techniques, with the hats being made with scrapbook papers. Imagine the possibilities, depending on what papers you use.
The Santa’s measure 25 cm, 25 cm and 17.5 cm high. They can be used individually or joined together to hang below each other with an approximate length of 90 cm. They are cut from 16mm wood (using a scroll saw), but the design could be adapted to be cut from lighter, thinner balsa wood, which you can cut with a craft knife. I’ve even made these designs as gift tags using cardboard as the base and reducing the size of the pattern.
Shabby Santa with Stockings
This Santa stands approximately 28 cm high and can be personalised with names on the stockings or left blank.
The project uses both paper craft and decorative painting techniques.
This whimsical reindeer with his twig antlers stands approximately 50 cm high. Made using both painting and paper craft techniques, this little cutie looks great hanging from a door knob or wall mounted hook.
White Christmas Santa
This sweet vintage white Santa will fit in well with the shabby chic, coastal chic or French inspired decorating style. He will charm everyone with his vintage book page hat turnover, rhinestone button, plus his 3D shoes allow him to stand freely. He also has an extended arm that can hold a candle, wreath or Christmas tag.
When complete, measures 31 cm high x 19 cm wide.
Don’t forget, Simply Christmas begins next Tuesday and runs through to Christmas Eve…. right here on Shabby Art Boutique.
Happy festive crafting,
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
