There’s no place I’d rather be for the holidays than at home.
I’m such a homebody and I love that this year my family will all be here too. It will be a little crowded, but I love that we can all hang out in the kitchen baking, laughing and doing normal everyday family things…. together!
I couldn’t ask for a better Christmas gift!!
Over the next few days the bHome bloggers are presenting our ‘bHome for the Holidays’ tour… and it promises to be filled with inspiration and gorgeousness!
I decided to invite you in to a room of my home that I rarely share… and I don’t mind telling you that it is my favourite room.
Of course it’s my special ‘happy place’… my craft room.
[PIN for later]
It’s not very big…
It has bare floor boards all covered in paint splatters…
And a wall of windows that flood the room with light.
Best of all, it is filled with my handmade ‘treasures’.
My theme this Christmas is feminine and pretty… with lots of pastel Tilda fabrics and scrapbook papers in a palette of soft aqua and pinks.
Most of these things I already had in my Christmas boxes.
The beautiful handmade stockings were gifts from my crafty friends; the Tilda patchwork stocking was made by Kris of Tag Along Teddies and the Provincial stocking was made by Vikki of Sew Useful Designs.
There are tutorials for both of these stockings in Simply Christmas – here for the patchwork stocking and here for the Provincial stocking.
I still love all my vintage book paper pieces, so I grouped them together on top of one of my shelf units.
All of my shelf units have gathered muslin curtains to hide my crafty supplies and keep the room looking neat.
The top of these units provide a great space for extra storage and fun vignettes. For Christmas I added a garland and fairy lights, which looks amazing at night.
The patchwork fabric letters were a new addition this Christmas.
I always love spending time in my ‘happy place’,
but it feels even more special at Christmas.
I hope you enjoyed a little peek into my creative space!

Kerryanne, this room, oh! How I’d love to visit you there and make things with you. Not only is it filled with art supplies of every kind (I peeked under the muslin curtains!) it is absolutely magical for the holidays. Thank you for sharing your happy place, it would be mine, too. Merry Christmas, my creative friend! Xo Lidy

If you truly love crafty things Lidy, my stash would probably blow your mind. I have my every day supplies here in my craft room and the rest are in labelled boxes in our storage unit. We had to get one to store most of it while we are living at the resort… it’s kind of like my own craft shop I guess. 😉
I’d certainly welcome you to come craft with me anytime! Merry Christmas xx

Hi Kerryanne,
I can see why this is your Happy Place. So sweet and comfy and inviting for you to come and create your beautiful treasures. Gorgeous.
Hugs,

I believe every girl needs her own ‘happy place’ Kris, whether that be a she shed, craft room or reading nook. I’ve always had one and it keeps me sane. It’s even nicer when it is decorated just for me. Thanks for visiting sweetie and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I love how beautiful neat and tidy your studio looks. I wish mine looked as pretty. It’s a disorganized mess at the moment. I will eventually get to it. Love the soft pastel colors <3 We are home bodies too. Especially this time of the year. It's cold and dreary there really is no place like home.
Kerryanne says
Anne, I’m one of those creative people that just can’t create in chaos. I know that goes against the norm, but it is just how I am, so every Monday I clean and reorganise my studio to start fresh for the week. It does get pretty crazy in there again by the weekend though. Thanks for visiting and Merry Christmas!

It’s all so pretty and calming, love your space!
Kerryanne says
Thank you Julie. I have to say, the soft aqua walls which were already painted this colour when we moved in, provide are the most relaxing creative environment I’ve ever worked in. Always calm and inspiring in this itty bitty craft room. Merry Christmas!
Lory at Designthusiasm says
Kerryanne, it’s absolutely stunning! No wonder you’re so creative – who wouldn’t be inspired in this room? I love your creations, as well as those of your friends, but I particularly love the way they all come together in this delightful space!!
Kerryanne says
Thank you Lory. I especially love having things made by my friends. I know just how much time, effort and love has gone into making their creative pieces. It’s like a great big hug every time I look at them. Merry Christmas!

I adore very inch of your craft room anytime of year Kerryanne – but Christmas is really something special! So much to look at and enjoy. You must be so inspired just by entering the room. xx
Kerryanne says
I’m actually feeling very inspired just by moving everything around in here Kelly. It has had the same layout for quite some time and after awhile you cease to see all the loveliness. Now I can enjoy all my shabby Christmas pretties while I’m crafting. Merry Christmas!
Shirley Flavell says
Oh the peace you must feel going into your beautiful room. Happiness is—— 🙂
Kerryanne says
Total serenity Shirley. I’ve really enjoyed decorating a room purely for my own enjoyment. I didn’t have to worry about what anyone else likes, just surrounded myself with all my creative pretties. Merry Christmas to you!
Tamara says
