Earlier this year I made some changes to the weekly link party.
First I invited some new co-hosts to join us as a way of expanding the party and adding a new dimension to it. They came from slightly different décor styles, so we broadened the party linking options and changed direction somewhat to incorporate a larger audience.
Sadly, these changes didn’t bode well with some of our linkers, as the party moved away from what we originally built. Numbers dropped off and many of our old shabbilicious linkers stopped linking up. Over the past week the co-hosts and I discussed options and changes… and ultimately we decided that the party should go back to its original form.
So, today I thank Jeanette, Julie, Robin and Stacy, not only for their commitment to Shabbilicious Friday over the past few months, but for also unselfishly bowing out and allowing the party to revert back to its original style. They are all amazing bloggers and I hope you’ll continue to visit their fabulous blogs.
This is the place we come to each week to share all that is
‘Shabbilicious’
This includes anything pretty like romantic cottage, shabby chic, vintage, farmhouse, transformations, decorating & DIY, room reveals, vintage finds, French inspired loveliness, yummy recipes
. . . or anything else that will make our shabby hearts sing!
I adore Diana’s amazing creativity at Dreams Factory. This week she offered a tutorial for building a shabby chic easel and a gorgeous free French graphic.
Over on Cottage Fix this week, Sally is feeling all French inspired and musing… “I’m so drawn to French style lately, drippy crystal chandeliers, soft muted colors, and floor to ceiling drapes. I’m daydreaming of strolling down a quaint cobblestone street lined with vegetable markets, fresh flowers, and the sweet smell of baguettes wafting through the warm air.”
Doesn’t that just set the scene for a beautiful post about blooming hydrangeas!
The lovely Karen from Karen’s Up On The Hill shared an easy to follow tutorial on ‘How to Age a Garden Urn with Chalk Paint’. Don’t they look fabulous on her mantel!
I think Annie Sloan Duck Egg was the perfect colour choice for Kimberley’s dresser make-over at Seaside Ave.
What an amazing result for a $6 Goodwill find!
And this seems a beautiful way to round off the week…
Pamela shared this lovely inspirational quote as a free printable at
Flowerpatch Farmhouse. How true ♥
Thank you to everyone who linked up last week. I really do appreciate it!
Please feel free to grab a Feature button (below) if you were featured today.
If you are new here at the party, let’s stay connected.
This week on Shabby Art Boutique I shared 2 free printable tags

Hi Kerryanne, I’ve always loved Shabbilicious Friday, because it’s been true to such a romantic niche. So glad you know your readers so well. thanks for giving us a lovely place to party!
Thank you so much Debra. Shabbilicious Friday is definitely a boutique kind of party with less link ups, but it’s a perfect place to hang out if you are into shabbilicious gorgeousness of any kind. I’m filled with inspiration very week. Thank you for your support and being a great part of that inspirational journey xx
I like to play on the edge of romantic and primitive. So I love this party – filled with ideas. Thank you for continuing to host. Let’s all share the news on social media.

Congratulations on a bold move, Kerryanne! I have always enjoyed the original focus of Shabbilicious Friday! Love that French graphic! Thanks so much for continuing a great party!
Thank you for your support Jacqueline. You don’t know if you don’t try and I had the delight of trying something new with fabulous co-hosts. It didn’t quite go in the direction we thought it might, so it was back to the drawing board. I feel very comfortable with the decision to keep Shabbilicious Friday specifically ‘shabbilicious’. I appreciate your constant support and encouragement my friend xxx
HI KerryAnne, how are you sweet friend, so glad to make it to the party and hope you have a fabulous weekend, xo Lisa

Link parties take up a lot of time, but that’s not a completely bad thing… I do get to visit some of the most amazing blogs and be inspired by shabbilicious gorgeousness. Thank you for linking up and it was a pleasure to feature you this week. Hugs xx
Kerryanne, so glad you are continuing the party. Was afraid you were going to announce it’s cancellation. Thank you for the opportunity to come by and share!
Blessings,
Lucy
Thank you Lucy. Sorry to give you a scare… we simply tried something different and it didn’t work out how we hoped it would. I’m happy with the decision to keep the party specifically ‘shabbilicious’ as it offers a specific place for shabby lovers to hang out and be inspired. xx
Thanks you so much for the beautiful feature Kerryanne! I’m so happy to be included with such inspiring posts!
Have a wonderful weekend!
karen
You are most welcome Karen. It is always an absolute pleasure to feature your beautiful home projects on Shabbilicious Friday 🙂
Thank you Kerryanne for hosting, absolutely love this link party and this week’s features are gorgeous! Good luck with the changes and have a great weekend! 🙂 x
Thank you Evija. I appreciate your support and your contribution to Shabbilicious Friday. Hugs xx
Shame! I really liked your parties! But well, you can’t be everybody’s darling, can you. And i understand that you want to focus on “shabbilicious” things again. As I don’t ever post anything “Shabbilicious, vintage, cottage & farmhouse” on my blog, i won’t be able to participate in your lik parties any more which makes me really sad, but i’m all the more glad that i had the honour to get featured on your website a while back even so. Anyway, i wish you all the best and many more happy parties 🙂
** Maisy
I’m sorry to disappoint you Maisy, but I know you’ll find some exciting link parties out there that will suit your style perfectly. I have to be true to my style and genre and I believe a party called Shabbilicious Friday should probably stick to shabbilicious gorgeousness. Thank you for taking the time each week to link up at the party and I’m glad we had the opportunity to feature one of you amazing projects 🙂
Thanks for your kind reply, Kerryanne. Like I said in the email, I do unterstand your decision to be more true to the label “shabbilicious” again, so I guess it’s for the best : )
All the best ~
Maisy
Thank you Kerryanne for hosting a lovely party. There are so many great inks today. Fun! Jo
Thanks for taking part Jo. I’m inspired every week by the very talented projects linked up 🙂
Thank you for hosting, Kerryanne! Beautiful inspiration as always!
Catherine
Hi Kerryanne, thank you for Shabbilicious Friday 99. I changed a crib headboard into a ‘boy’s room’ headboard, with burlap, now I am tempted to stencil onto the burlap. Hmm. See you week, maybe I will have something very shabby chic to share, today it was more DIY/burlap and frugal.
Joy
Thank you for hosting the lovely party, Kerryanne!
Tamara <3
Thanks for hosting each week and making my days a little brighter. I too was afraid you were going to stop the party altogether. I am so glad you didn’t. I love your parties and the bloggers that were your co-hosts. I am glad it has worked out for everyone. I wish you all the best, my friend. xoxo
Thank you Meegan. It’s a pity that our combined styles didn’t work, but at least we tried. Shabbilicious Friday will just have to remain… shabbilicious! Thank you for your support sweetie xx
Thanks Meegan. I’m sad not to be sharing the hosting with those great gals, but we’ll still work together on other projects. I think too many of our shabbilicious friends just wanted to keep this party ‘shabby’ 🙂 Hugs xx
