It’s less than 2 weeks to Easter and my home has been filled with pretty Easter vignettes.
I love opening my storage boxes at the beginning of a new season and being able to introduce new bits and pieces to my decorating.
While it wasn’t intentional, looking around my open plan living areas there’s a pretty mix of pastel décor amongst my every day shades of white…. and I’m loving it!
Looking back over some of my past Easter DIY’s and crafty projects, it’s now obvious why my Easter pretties are pastel… they are all ‘shabbilicious’.

This sweet vintage tag was one I designed a few years ago now and is free for you to download and use. Simply click to open it in a new window at it’s full size and then right click and save the image to your own computer. The tag was designed in high resolution, so perfect for printing on photo paper or card.
This egg carton make-over is so deliciously simple and makes for some stunning Easter packaging. This DIY could be made in any colour scheme or style, so check out my tutorial HERE.
Easter eggs and nests are some of the easiest Easter items to add to your existing décor and I loved making these easy fabric eggs. All you need is a few polystyrene eggs and scraps of fabric.
My Cottage Style Easter Egg tutorial gives you 3 different techniques for decorating paper mache eggs; decoupage, easy polka dots and hand painted.
Adding nests to existing décor adds that ‘spring’ touch too. Here I added shredded book paper to a baby’s boot to make a nest. Find out more about this pastel vignette HERE.

Even small additions like an Easter tag can add seasonal touches to your everyday décor. These are easy to swap out with the seasons and to store when not in use.
Bunnies melt my heart and to be honest, I’m guilty of leaving bunnies around my home at other times of the year too.
These two cuties were my first hand painted fabric bunnies.
This year I’ve added mug bunnies to my collection… I had hoped to be selling these before Easter, but travel got in the way and I’ve missed that opportunity. I will eventually finish the ones I’ve started and will sell them in my Boutique.
