Q: What’s pink and sugary and melts on the tongue
A: Persian Fairy Floss….mmmmm
Persian candy floss/cotton candy is made from sesame and sugar. It is called Pashmak which means “little wool” in Persian, as the confectionery resembles sheep’s wool.
I made these yummy fairy cakes for the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea which I attended at ‘Paradiso, for funky finds’ yesterday. Thanks to the beautiful hostesses Mel and Deb, we had a lovely morning filled with scrumptious (calorie filled) offerings and lovely company.
I donated this cute little Tilda to the raffle.
I’m loving her yellow and burgundy floral dress. I’m not usually drawn to yellow fabric, but one day this just jumped out at me when fabric shopping and it’s been in my stash waiting for the right project ever since.
As you can see, I had some assistance while taking the photos. . .
My studio buddies Gypsy and Milly (seen here) are never far from my side. However, on this occasion Milly was more of a hindrance than a help. I think she was getting ready to snatch and run!!
Don’t forget that there’s still time to enter the Thrifting Tammy giveaway. It will be drawn on Sunday.
I hope everyone has a relaxing and creative weekend. I’m full of an icky head cold right now, so plan on taking it easy and drinking lots of honey and lemon.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
Your dog reminds me of the new book series I have started by Ellery Adams called A Killer Plot. There is a large poodle type dog on the front of the book and his name is Haviland.
Your ‘assistant’ is beautiful.
The Tilda is really lovely and so beautifully dressed.

Oh HILARIOUS! You just took my next blog post hahahaha! I only just bought persian fairy floss on Monday night this week and fell in love, was planning to rave about it, hahaha! isn’t it wonderful? so unique and very more-ish! melt in your mouth like no other :))))
Love how you’ve dressed the cupcakes in it!
I saw a recipe once that was watermelon salad – cut up bits of watermelon mixed with rosewater (I think she added sugar too but really it doesn’t need it). Then put in a martini glass, and dressed with persian fairy floss mmmmmmmmm
Your cakes look so yummy. Gotta love your little helpers around the house
BTW the song you have on now is my favourite, good choice
Lee:)

Hi sweetie!
I love that photo of Milly and Tilda! She is the cutest doll, and I love her position in your pretty garden! The fairy cakes look amazing, Kerry! You’re so kind sweetie!
Hope you feel better soon honey, I’m with you too, the kids keep bringing unwanted germs home from school! So squish aside and I’ll join you in that honey and lemon!

Hey Kerryanne,
Oh those pretty pink cakes look yum, scrum.
How sweet of you to offer you’re Tilda doll for auction.
I hope you get rid of your head cold real soon so you can get back into the studio.
Have a cosy, creative weekend,
Healing Hugs,

Those cupcakes look so yummy and me with nothing for breakfast yet and nothing to whip up a batch of cupcakes either. The Tilda doll in her pretty flowered dress is adorable and Milly does look ready for a snatch and run. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Another lovely gal.
She’s really for what ever is coming her way.
Good looking and knows it.

Gerry

Hey Keryanne! Oh … YUMMMMMMMY!!! Those cute cakes look DELICISIOUS!! As does your cute Tilda dolly – well done! :0) Love the pic of Miss Milly ‘helping’ with your photo shoot … one of the reasons I don’t take too many outdoor photos myself … two ‘helpers’ are always jumping in the shots … photo hogs! Tee! Hee! Hee! Glad you had a fun morning tea … and all for a great cause. Hope your week is full of more sweet treats! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS
