Hello friends and welcome to my many new followers.
I’ve been a bit absent from the blogosphere and the studio this week. . . but with good reason, I’ve been working on my new re-modelled website, which is now back up and running. I’m still fitting out each shopping page with wondrous delights and will be doing so for several weeks. I’d love for you to pop on over to the Boutique and check out the new look.
I thought today I’d feature two of the pages that are already starting to fill out with stock. The first one is. . .
The Craft Room is a collection of patterns designed especially for use in the craft/sewing room or studio.
It doesn’t matter whether you have a designated craft room or a small cupboard to house your supplies, we all need fun and functional crafting items and storage solutions. The first Craft Room pattern for 2012 is my. . .
‘Lace and Ribbon Boards’
For a long time now I’ve wanted a way to store all my laces, ribbons and haby trims so they could be easily accessed, kept untangled and look beautiful.
I adore those gorgeous vintage floss cards from my grandma’s era and the storage cards at the haberdashery store seem so practical, so a project was conceived to incorporate both into a pretty sewing room storage solution.
There’s nothing new about storage cards…. this is just my take on a vintage favourite… with one exception, my boards are made of sturdy 3 mm MDF that won’t bend or warp under pressure and weight. I designed 4 beautiful Frenchy graphics for a Parisian look…
…but the boards look equally as nice covered in beautiful papers.
I’ve been teasing my Facebook friends with sneak peeks for weeks now, so those of you who have been coveting this pattern… it’s now available. Several of my students are making their own versions of the lace boards too, with amazing and quite different results. Mrs Smoochy Kiss has gone for bright reds and green polka dots which look fantastic….. perhaps she’ll do a post about it!
Anyone purchasing this pattern also has the option of buying the raw wood cut-outs from another new page. . .
The Crafting Supplies shop will be home to gorgeous creative supplies to make your heart sing!
Some items will be staples, while others will be special buys and one off offers. One thing is for certain, the ever changing line up of goodies will always be well priced and perfect for crafting for your shabby home.
Here’s what’s available this week. . .
There’s a special price on lavender, so pop over here to check it out.
And if you are short on time, check out my Newsletter which has a run down on all the new happenings taking place at Shabby Art Boutique by Woodberry Designs.
Okay, I best duck off now to finish writing the pattern instructions for 3 more patterns.
