Gosh…another week has flown by and I am left wondering where all the time goes. I’m firmly entrenched in the studio working diligently on the Christmas range. I’m SO into it now I don’t even need the Christmas carols anymore…LOL
I have 12 new designs all at various stages of completion which are set out on the classroom tables. I’m working on all of them at once which might seem quite strange but while one project dries I add something more to another project. Luckily the colour palette doesn’t vary that much with the Christmas things.
We had such a cold and miserable weekend here in Melbourne. The wind was bitterly cold and the rain (which is much needed) barely let up. We had a very rare weekend without any social commitments – apart from the usual running around for the girls, so we enjoyed some quiet time at home. Hubby decided to light a fire in our open fire place which we rarely use now that we have ducted heating. I had forgotten just how atmospheric an open fire is on such a cold night. The girls toasted marshmallows on sticks and while ‘The Princess’ gorged herself on dripping gooey mallows, I suspect that Miss Aimee was more interested in playing with the fire than actually eating the mallows.
I did the only thing possible……finally when the kids had, had enough of the toasted marshmallows and they and hubby had ventured off to do other things, I popped my feet up on the ottoman and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of a roaring fire.
Until next time ~ stay warm.
Hugs,
Kerryanne

Hey Kerryanne! Ooooohhh! I have fireplace envy!!! Our house in Bourke used to have an open fire AND a little old fashioned combustion stove and together they pumped wonderful warmth into our lounge/kitchen/dining space – how I miss them as I huddle under my snuggle rug in front of the practical-but-not-at-all-atmospheric gas heater! Even colder today – seriously thinking of moving Toowoomba further north!! Can’t wait to see your Christmas goodies!! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)

It is bitter cold and so wet here as well. Nothing nicer than a roaring fire to make you feel toasty! Sounds like you are working hard! Rachael

G’Day, my Down Under Doodler! Love the toesies shot. I would like to say that I can’t wait for winter so we can light a fire, too, but that would be a lie. I adore summer! So maybe a beach fire tonight instead?? [I can hear you sticking your tongue out at me all the way over here, missy.)
You are so well organized! Good for you getting Christmas going already! It hasn’t even entered my noggin, bad me.
Hope you’re having a warm and productive day!
Hugs, Ronda

Oh, I can just feel the wonderful heat coming from the fireplace. When I lived in Canada, I used to love days that were snowed in (when we didn’t have anything pressing that needed to be done)…there’s nothing like curling up to a warm fire or staying in and watching movies all day. Every once in a while we need those days.
